Nashport man faces more than 5 decades in prison
ZANESVILLE, Ohio — A Nashport man was sentenced Wednesday to 44 years to life to 51-and-a-half years to life on multiple charges including kidnapping, rape, trafficking in persons and pandering obscenity involving a minor. 28-year-old Christian Harmon pleaded guilty to the charges in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.
Authorities discovered the crimes against the two-year-old child in September, while investigating a separate report that Harmon had violently injured a seven-week-old baby. The infant was taken to the hospital suffering from multiple injuries including a skull fracture, broken bones and spinal damage.
Harmon was previously sentenced to eight years in prison for assaulting the child. Judge Mark Fleegle ordered the sentences in the two cases to run consecutively, so Harmon faces 59-and-a-half-years to life in prison.
