Narendra Singh Tomar: Ex-Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar elected speaker of MP assembly

Former Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been unanimously elected as the speaker of the Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly. Tomar, a senior BJP leader, filed his nomination for the speaker's post with the support of the opposition Congress. The first session of the newly-elected assembly began on Monday, and Tomar's election took place on Wednesday.
