Nancy Flaherty, a nurse practitioner who worked for the Portland Public Health Division caring for people who are homeless, died Wednesday after a period of declining health. She was 77.
Mrs. Flaherty was remembered this week as a strong and compassionate woman, devoted to family and the community.
