Dimapur, Nov. 3 (EMN): Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club (NAGC) held its monthly meeting on November 2 at Thinuovicha Memorial Higher Secondary School (TMHSS) on the theme “Needs and wants.” An update from the club informed that a brief introduction on the Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club was delivered by Juliana Medom, supervisor of AGC under the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB). She mentioned that the Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club is a state funded programme aimed at providing referral service to adolescent girls in NAGC adopted schools. The membership is for the adolescent girls between the age of 10-19 years. She added that the club aims to instill a sense of pride and self-worth in adolescent’s girls, help them to respect themselves and others, help them to fight against abuse, violence and exploitation and also odder support and guidance. She further also explained on the importance of needs and wants. The other resource persons were NAGC programme assistants namely Manlee Manphuro and Khriezotuolie Chase.
