Our Correspondent Kohima, Oct. 3 (EMN): The All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG)-2015 batch on Monday submitted a representation to the state government rejecting the constitution of a High Powered Committee to address the issue and sought the intervention of the chief minister. The representation addressed to the chief minister was submitted to his chamber, at the Secretariat, in his absence on Monday. ‘The house (ANATG-2015, 1166 teachers) resolved to submit a direct letter to your table as we believe only your intervention could bring a solution to our sole demand,’ it read, adding that they were “left with no other option” but to protest in the form of an indefinite hunger strike till the matter is resolved. Signed by the representatives of all 29 units of ANATG-2015 as well as its president and general secretary, the agitating teachers expressed dismay over the matter being “left unattended” during the first four days of their peaceful sit-in, which led to the change of protest mode to hunger strike, following which they were “summoned” for a meeting by the Commissioner and Secretary, SE and SCERT on September 30. “At the meeting, the ANATG was offered for the formation of High Powered Committee...
