N.Y. lawmakers urge chief judge to avert eviction crisis

State lawmakers on Friday implored New York’s Chief Judge Janet DiFiore to avert “an impending eviction and homelessness crisis” by ordering Housing Courts to slow down until all poor tenants have a lawyer.
