N.C. reports new COVID-19 data, partially vaccinated population nears 50 percent

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Health officials in North Carolina reported Tuesday an increase in 1,148 of new COVID-19 cases.
North Carolina also reported 23 more deaths and 1,103 hospitalizations due to the virus Tuesday.
Health officials also confirmed 48.5 percent of adults are partially vaccinated and 38.8 percent are fully vaccinated.
Anyone 16 years and older became eligible for the vaccine starting Wednesday, April 7.
