Law enforcers recovered mutilated body of a man from the septic tank of a mosque in Dhaka's Dakshinkhan area this morning.
The deceased was identified as Azharul Islam, aged around 40, a garment factory worker.
A team of Rab first detained Abdur Rahman, Imam of the Dakshinkhan Sardar Para Mosque, and later based on his information, the body was recovered from the septic tank early today, said Shiker Mohammad Shamim Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dakshinkhan Police Station.
Police and Rab said that the body was mutilated after murder and dumped inside the tank.
