Bob Bradshaw’s previous album, 2019’s “Queen of the West,” was a concept album of sorts, built around a surreal group of characters in the modern West. His new album, arriving Friday, April 30 on Fluke Records also has a theme; delivering a lively collection of songs about connections.
If that seems like a concept nurtured in the past year’s forced isolation and pause for live music, then that would be mostly correct. Somerville resident Bradshaw had been writing new songs and recording them in his home studio remotely with other musicians and then releasing them as singles. Eventually he decided he could make the project a full fledged album, which became “The Ghost Light.” That title is itself an allusion to something you see, or think you see, that provides a way out of darkness.
