That’s the word from Broadway star
Alan Cumming, who became great pals with the Material Mom after a rocky start at one of his shows. Cumming tells the
Talk Art podcast, “Madonna came to see
Cabaret the first time I did it on Broadway. I could see her braiding her hair whilst she was watching the show. We thought she might come backstage but she didn’t and I thought, ‘Oh, she hated it, how awful.’ Then this big man came into my room and said he was Madonna’s driver and she wanted me to go to dinner with her.”
