This year's 4th of July weekend in Columbia was marked with many celebrations, fireworks shows and downtown festivities, including a sold out hometown concert, featuring the city's own "American Idol."
As Saturday evening drew near, hundreds of concert goers lined up along West 8th Street. Many were not only anxiously awaiting to visit The Mulehouse for the first time, but to welcome back Cassandra Coleman after her recent stint on the big stage in Hollywood.
When it was announced the Top 10 "Idol" finalist would be headlining her first Columbia show at its newest luxury venue, tickets sold out in just a couple of days, which according to Mulehouse staff was about 580 total. That doesn't include the hundreds of live streaming tickets purchased from viewers worldwide.
