Another Bible story you just might have missed. The year was 901BC. Israel, at the time ruled by the weak-willed King Ahab, a man whose thinking and decision making were at all material times handled by his wife, the crafty, cunning and manipulative Queen Jezebel.
Israel was under imminent attack by Syria, ruled by the ruthless, uncompromising King Ben-hadad. Even Lucifer himself found Ben-hadad a little too extreme – the man’s acts were so evil, he made demons cringe with trepidation! On this occasion Ben-hadad had issued notice to King Ahab: he was sending a delegation to Samaria to pick up King Ahab’s wives and daughters for his own use, plus all the gold and silver in the treasury – or else he would reduce Samaria to a pile of rubble within days.
