Murder victim identified, probe ongoing

JONESBORO — The man fatally shot Tuesday night has been identified as Brandon Broadway, 37, of Bono.
The Jonesboro Police Department responded around 10:20 p.m. to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Jonesboro ReStore parking lot, 3610 E. Highland Drive, and found Broadway “suffering” from an undisclosed gunshot wound, reports state.
The incident report released Wednesday suggests that Broadway called authorities himself. The department notes that the victim was suspected of using drugs, but the substance was not listed on the report.
“Aid was rendered until EMS (emergency medical services) arrived,” JPD announced Wednesday morning via Facebook. “(Broadway) was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased as short time later.”
