Mumbai reported 10,030 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, the second-highest daily count so far, while 31 patients succumbed to the infection, the most in a day since October-end. All beaches in the city have been ordered shut by BMC till April 30 and housing societies too have been issued a slew of guidelines and restrictions. To contain the spread of the virus, the government's Shiv Bhojan thaali too will be provided as a parcel.In other news, the CBI on Tuesday registered a preliminary inquiry to probe corruption allegations against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The NCP leader, earlier in the day, had filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay HC order directing for a CBI probe against him.
