A 52-year-old BMC doctor was allegedly assaulted by a 22-year-old passenger at Bandra Terminus in Maharashtra’s Mumbai on Saturday.

Mumbai: A young passenger allegedly assaulted Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) doctor following a dispute over taking a COVID-19 test at Bandra Terminus in Maharashtra’s Mumbai late on Saturday.
In view of rising COVID-19 cases in the state, a civic team was deployed at the Bandra Terminus to check the body temperature of passengers arriving in the city from distant places. The accused, identified as Salman Ali Syed (22), arrived from UP along with his family. Using a thermal scanner, the civic team checked Syed’s body temperature and found him to be a little feverish. Consequently, he was asked to take an RT-PCR test.
