Shobha Kumari, 20, was carrying luggage in one hand and was holding her two-year-old daughter with the other.
Around 11.15am, as the Danapur Special started to move from platform number 5 of Dadar station, Kumari tried to board a compartment with her child. CCTVs on the platform captured her and her child losing their balance. An alert RPF officer, Ashok Yadav, ran towards them and dragged the mother-child to safety. Had he not acted swiftly, there was a possibility the mother-child could have slipped into the gap between the rake and the coach.
