MUMBAI: The trial in the 2012 Sheena Bora murder case commenced on Wednesday after almost a year with the cross examination of the 67th witness, a handwriting expert. The witness last deposed before the court in March. The trial was subsequently put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last March, the handwriting expert confirmed that Sheena Bora had not signed the resignation letter that the CBI alleged was fraudulently sent in her name after she was murdered. The New Delhi-based expert Vijay Verma (48) said the signature on the document matched the handwriting of Kajal Sharma, a former assistant of Indrani’s.
