Those disqualifying characteristics are compounded by everything else that limits his ability to fulfill the duties of lithe presidency and his many criminal charges, his advancing age, his fundamental lack of interest in policy, andk his increasingly bizarre cast of associates. This unequivocal truth that he is not fit to be president should be enough for any voter who cares about the health of our country and the stability of our democracy to deny him reelection. I think it showed a vulnerability that senator cruz has never had before because he is never had to run for an election for the senate and have reproductive freedoms and possibly problematic pregnancies be an actual voting issue and you hear those women in texas saying if you have a problematic pregnancy in texas, you may not be able to get the medical care you absolutely need. That is the fault of senator cruz and the republicans. There is no question. And you are right. It is a reality right now for women in texas as a result of ted cruz and his work to get the judges to overturn roe v. Wade and in fact, after that ruling came out, he said this is a great day and a celebration that roe v. Wade was overturned and the rights of women were taken away. That is what we see in texas these are couples who want children but things go wrong in the pregnancy and you need to have immediate medical attention and the help of a woman can be in danger. Sometimes her life. We know ted cruz doesn't believe in any exceptions. He has said that and voted that way in the past. No exceptions for incest or rape or for the health of the mother. It puts people in an incredibly difficult situation. He also called for a national abortion ban. Women in texas, as they hear the stories and have friends and others going through this horrible horrible new change in the law, they need to know that ted cruz is responsible and elect colin allred and he is showing the momentum. You are looking at the polling right now. He is in that margin of error that will come down to the work we do in the coming weeks. We need resources, as you mentioned and i am putting money into texas right now and we hope individual contributors also contribute to colin allred including powell in florida but they play a key role not only in holding the seats for going on the offense where we see opportunities. This is why the defend the senate. Org is important right now because money is coming in but we are making sure we are using that money officially and strategically to not only hold the senate on the offense. I do hope folks look to defend the senate as an opportunity to get into a fight and it is a real fight. We can win and we will but it takes all hands on deck. Democrats have their hopes up in contributors and senators who have had their hopes up before about winning and i should say winning back the senate seats in texas and florida because democrats used to hold those seats if you look back a few more cycles. And those hopes with some strong candidates in the past like beto o'rourke in texas what is different this time, as you see it, in texas and florida? i think we have different dynamics. You mentioned the reproductive freedom is certainly a major dynamic in the first time ted cruz has had a deal or to deal with these issues for voters to understand the consequences of these actions. They are the consequences of his vote. When he did run last time he won by roughly 2 points. That is much. We can close that. Colin allred is running and extravagantly incredible campaign. And even when rick scott who has the wind at his back has never won by more than one point and we have on the ballot a referendum for abortion and people in florida are facing draconian laws basically six week abortion bands and no exceptions for incest or rape in the polling shows that has the support of 68 percent of the people in the state of florida and rick scott said he will vote against that referendum and he said he supports the six week ban and on the wrong side of 68% of the people. So clearly, it's not that she is getting under his skin because he couldn't figure out how to adjust to a new strategy and a new opponent. Did he drive you to it? did your crazy uncle drive you to becoming a clinical psychologist? and i don't know why i have not wondered about this before, but it hit me today. I just thought, i think i might have to do that if i had an uncle that was that crazy. Well, unfortunately, he wasn't the only one. I have said this before, but it does bear repeating. I think hopefully it will make people think about the choices they make in their lives. Donald was one of five children. My grandparents had five children. Every single one of them, including donald, is and was a destroyed human being. As shocking as it may seem, donald was actually not the worst person in my family. He is the worst one now because he has, unfortunately been powered by a bankrupt republican party and tens of millions of americans. The whole family system was so broken from the very beginning. Of that is what i am finding in this book. It is a wider lens on it all as i have found and you say this about your uncle and you say nobody liked donald when he was growing up and not even his parents and as he got older those personality traits hardened this hostile indifference and aggressive disrespect he developed as a toddler to help them withstand the neglect he suffered at his parents hands and you say fred trump, his father, was incapable of loving anyone. Yes. It does show, doesn't it? i think it is fair to say that my father's generation suffered the most because they were closest to the sociopathy and severe psychological distress and my grandmother zone so essential in emotional issues but it definitely filtered down. I think when you look at it from the perspective of not just being relatives, but being americans, donald trump has been in a position to have the impact on everybody's daily life for eight years now. If you do add into that the family dysfunction and the scars inflicted by being a member of this family, it really does begin to take a toll. If there could have been a family member writing a volume like this about that family, at that time, and the branches of that family, it would be invaluable as this is going to be to history. I do hope my first hope which is what i consider a psychological history of the family and i consider this a personal memoir together, will give people insight into how donald became how he is and how we as a country found this acceptable but also, hopefully, it would give us insight into, or i should say validate our own experiences over the last eight years.
