And he added the note i dont hate a lot of people. I dont hate easily. As a way of explaining why he was using the word hate. The word President S dont use that way. Donald trump, on the other hand, hates a lot of people. He hates very easily. He hates everyone and has expressed hatred for everyone from me to Taylor Swift. And that really is everyone. He has the most hateful mind. You can search the internet, and you will not come up with much more than those two uses of the verb, hate, applied to a person in president ial history. I hate saddam, and i hate Taylor Swift. George h. B. Bush at 78 years old had the presence of mind to give a reason for hating saddam. Former President Bush said at the time, he used Poison Gas on his own people, so there is nothing redeeming about this man. Donald trump gave no reason for hating Taylor Swift. Nothing about Poison Gas. And so that said possibly millions of young girls and boys to their Parents Yesterday to ask why Donald Trump hates Taylor Swift. And they will be asking some of those parents why theyre voting for Donald Trump who hates Taylor Swift. Many of those kids will have a better understanding of Donald Trump from that one social Media Post than some of their parents who think they support Donald Trumps policies. The kids know that statement, i hate Taylor Swift, its the rapting of an angry irrational old man who has so much hate in him that he has hatred for Taylor Swift. Young voters who will cast their first vote for president this year all know who Taylor Swift is. Hating her doesnt make any sense to them and it shouldnt make sense to anyone else. The test of Trump Madness is always to apply the latest example of it in a hypothreat had cal to someone else. And lets imagine they would wake up in the morning and tweeted i hate Lee Greenwood, explanation point. Hes a Trump Supporter who sang at the national convention. There could be calls for invoking the amendment to remove biden from Mental Incompetence if he tweeted, i hate Lee Greenwood and concerns about mental competence would be justifiable if biden tweeted, i hate any singer you can name. And the people who would scream about it the most, you know, are the people who completely accept as trump followers, Donald Trump posting insanely, i hate Taylor Swift. That is how much Donald Trump followers have corrupted the expression of their own values in their need to accept the public poison of Donald Trump and continue to support his candidacy. Now millions of trump supporting parents of america are going to find out that their kids might not think it is perfectly reasonable to hate Taylor Swift because she endorsed Kamala Harris for president. The i hate Taylor Swift story was quickly eclipsed yesterday by another crazy american man with a gun. Apparently trying to do something crazy with a gun that he was apparently able to obtain illegally in a country where republicans have made sure that Americas Murder and assassins are the very best equipped murderers and assassins in the world. Next year there will be 70 Appeals Court judges, reaching the Retirement Age in the Federal Court system. If they get to appoint 70 Appeals Court judges. That will be 40 of all the federal Appeals Court judges. The difference between judges and the democratic Opponent Judges is stark. The republican appointed judges created a new doctrine just for Donald Trump with no previous president that has had immunity. But suddenly the Supreme Court with three Trump Appointees granted him criminal immunity. Appointed by democratic President S obama and biden, sided with the constitution against those with immunity for Donald Trump. Judges served for decades, exerting power over The American people for decades. Clarence thomas voted to overturn roe v. Wade 32 years after appointed by george h. W. Bush. And beginning next year, no federal judges, none. No federal judges will be confirmed for the next four years. They will not be replaced if they control the united States Senate during Kamala Harris presidency who would become the first to appoint zero federal judges. You have succeeded in this position before, which is why theyre keeping you in this position. What is the state of the Race Tonight on control of the united States Senate . Well lawrence, you certainly played out what can happen if we lose the senate that we have to maintain the about. And i can say right now, these races are incredibly tight. Weve got a number of incumbents that are in races in the margin of error with opportunities to pick up some seeds. But these races will go down to the wire. As we are in these races, we are seeing billionaires, now supporting republican candidates, pouring massive amounts of money into these campaigns. Weve seen interest groups. The candidates need to be able to fight and have the resources. Which is what we do with the last cycle, today, we announced we are investing, as well as opportunities in florida and texas. And the stakes could not be higher, but we need to continue to have those resources. Thats why were hoping folks all across the country who believe we have to have a fair judiciary. We have to have judges who believe in the Rule Of Law, who understand how important the u. S. Senate is. That they volunteer their time, they get out and work on our ground campaigns. If you cant do that, support us financially, which is our website allowing us to get the resources to be in. And im confident we could win. If you look at those quality differences, i look at these republican candidates that are running against it from the continuum from flawed to very flawed. Most of them are towards the very flawed category. We just have to make sure voters see that difference, understand whats at stake, get out and vote. In florida against rick scott, he has extreme positions on abortion. In florida, there will be an Abortion Rights into the country. That can drive out their rights are not taken away. She needs help on the ground. She needs financial help. And Colin Allred in texas, a fantastic congressman. Taking on ted cruz. Ted cruz, whose popularity has continued to decline over the years. He is very vulnerable, but these are big states. We need resources, folks who are willing to invest in these two candidates. Certainly my committee, we are doing that. We made investments into the ground with our announcement today. Well continue to provide resources. But as long as the republicans will continue to pour in money, particularly from wealthy billionaires to support these two republicans, we know these are going to be tough races. Vance and assigning political motivation to two obviously crazy people who have been involved in these last two events. One that has no political motivation thats known. And obviously its happening because she is kicking their butts. And so they have to resort to this kind of rhetoric. I think its clear that both of these individuals who took shots at Donald Trump are not liberals. They are unhinged and they have considerable connection into Trump World and Ramaswamy World and all that. So i think hes wrong on the fact, i think its dangerous to start talking about people taking shots at Kamala Harris. And of course, historically i know every president and every Vice President , they have faced constant stream of Death Threats throughout their service in both parties. Senator, i want to get to this report about under the headline, how trumps Supreme Court was on the winning streak. Here we have Supreme Court leaking again, leaking this time internal memos about the decision making process, which doesnt seem quite a patient that they wanted to present publicly. There were a bunch of interesting things about this story. One was when it helps trump to make a Real Fast Decision to get him on the colorado ballot, he got a Real Fast Decision. When trump could postpone the immunity decision, they postponed it until they realized they had a majority to create the dramatic new immunity doctrine. And notably it appeared the liberal appointees on the court didnt see that coming, that they would expect the district courts ruling and the court of appeals ruling, and anywhere in history where they would guide them to the Supreme Court, where there is no immunity for president. And this is a Rule Of Law country. And the small group of right wingers was creating this immunity. And the third piece, of course, were the question about what did you know and when did you know it . If roberts removed alito from the Insurrection Case because of the Battle Flag Story that came out just four days before he was removed from the case. It is unusual to remove alito, like unprecedented. What did he know before then . Because that story was available in the Press And Alito knew of it back in 2021. Was there a moment when roberts knew that the Alito Family was trying, insurrection, outside their house. And assigned him the opinion on the Insurrection Cases and stuck with it until the story broke years later. Thats a pretty important question to get to the bottom of. Backstage maneuver, the umpires calling balls and strikes . No, no, no. The big decision at the end, what we dont see is all the immunity that will lead to citizens united with an e enormous strategy there. Some Day Somebody is going to write a book about backstage maneuvering by roberts. And the Roberts Memo thats about the immunity case, before the case is even formally before them, he is saying how he will rule in that case and how he expects the court to rule in the case . Yeah. And teeing up in extremely aggressive opinion with what you see also repeatedly here is almost no effort to reach out and try to find any kind of bipartisan compromise. That was a moment in the early 1970s. It was interesting because that lawsuit when it came against a number of other builders and they all for the most part settled. But Fred Trump decided the fight was really Donald Trump who made the decision to fight it. If you had just settled it, they ended up settling it and paying more. If they just settled it, they would have saved some money and spared themselves so much publicity. He wasnt he didnt say he was a big Manhattan Guy like me, but thats what it felt like he was trying to do that his father is nothing compared to him. Thats one of the most startling things, the book and our prior reporting. One of the ways Donald Trump has elevated himself is by dead dead grading his father. And he stood by when donald was staying im way bigger than my father ever was. And his father would nod, yes, hes way bigger than me. When Donald Trump put up a building and a half at that point in his life. It is a remarkable relationship. What do we know about Donald Trumps siblings that thought about all of this. Not exactly a fair division of the Fathers Estate . Right. And even a fair division of his attention he had, you know, another son, fred jr. Who ended up dying in his early 40s of alcoholism. He was cast aside early on. Fred sort of landed on Donald Trump. It was incredible when we watched no matter what he did. Hes a businessman who he wanted cash on hand. He didnt like that. He didnt want to give personal guarantees. Here comes the guy thats sort of the opposite of him, and he just became this Black Hole for all of freds money, but we never saw fred waver on it. I think the other dynamic going on to your question is who is robert was somewhat involved. He was involved at times in the business, but sort of came along after the succession had been decided.
