Well be good. 1 30 this afternoon, a call of shots fired. Because were in constant contact of them at all times. We were notified of that and we had units here that immediately sealed off the area. Fortunately we were able to locate a witness that came to us and said hey, i saw the guy running out tof the bushes. He jumped into a black nissan and i took a picture of the vehicle and the tag. Which was great. So, we had that information. Our realtime crime center put it out to the License Plate readers. And we were able to get a hit on that vehicle on i95 as it was headed into Martin County. We got a hold of Martin County Sheriffs Office and they spotted the vehicle and pulled it out and detained the guy. After that we took the victim, im sorry the witness the witness that witnessed the incident. Flew him up there tnand he identified the person that he saw running out of the bushes that jumped into the car. Now in the bushes where this guy was is an Ak47 Style Rifle with a scope. Two backpacks that had Ceramic Tile in them and a go pro. Those are being processed right now. The officer that was on the Golf R Course did a fantastic job. What they do is they have an agent that jumps one hole ahead of time from where the president was at. He was able to spot this Rifle Barrel sticking out and immediately apprehended the vehicle and the individual took off. We have thsomebody in custody right now that is a potential suspect. We have a little more work to do on it but as we usually to. As soon as we decide were going to book him into the County Jail and the charges that hes going to be booked into. Well get those to two and we will get a picture of him and well get you his background. Now were going to turn it over to the respective of the Secret Service and hes going to make a brief statement. Secret service Personnel S Opened Fire on a gunman located near the Property Line and this matter is under investigation. Ill turn it over to my partners over at the fbi. Weve deployed a number of resources including the investigative teams, Crisis Response Team members, bomb technicians, and evidence Response Team member, as well. What we need right now is for The Public to avoid the area around the Golf Course. We will continue to investigate the Golf Course with the help of the fbi and the Palm Beach Sheriffs Office as well as Martin Countys Sheriff Office and state and local Law Enforcement. Im here because our prosecutors are currently working up warrants and a motion for pretrial detention for the suspect. In that way, he will be kept in custody. But our filings of these warrants do not preclude federal charges that could be coming. In the chmeantime, it looks lik the warrants and the pretrial Detention Motion will happen first. It will show you a picture of the backpack and the rifle. And theres also a Go Proon the fence there where he was, intent on filming what was going on. Even though were going to have to secure a couple of areas around the Golf Course here, The Public doesnt need to panic. We know we have a postoffice, a library and a school down the street. So well make it convenient for you to get to all the places you need to go. Get your kids to school, get them over here to the postoffice or whatever else you need to go. Its safe, theres no more danger here. And well make it very convenient for you. So having said that, were going to take a very limited amount of questions and you can direct them to who you want answer the question. Sheriff, did this individual make any statements as he was being detained. No questions right now as far as his involvement in the incident. And further investigation to be completed. What was his demeanor. Im not sure if there was a rifle, they saw a rifle pointing to the fence. So he saw that the agent. That is correct yes. And the former president was on the Golf Course behind him. How far. Two holes behind. Because the bubble moves through the Golf Course. So our agents will get there first. Clear it. He noticed that the rifle was pointed out our agents engaged. We are not sure right now if the individual was able to take a slot at our agents. But for ousure, our agents were able to engage with the. How Wfar Away was Donald Trump when this gentleman was caught and stopped. Probably between 3 and 500 yards. But with the rifle and a scope like that, thats not a long distance. To the Secret Service, how far was your agent from the would be assailant. That im not sure. Were still looking into that. As far inas the four rounds, all four were from the agent . Thats correct. Four to six. Were not sure yet. Was there a long distance . Explaining why . Yes, yes. Thanks. Yes, maam. And i was wondering what the, how this happened and for future reference is there any security on the Golf Course. I didnt hear. Say that one more time and speak up a little bit. So, how was this able to happen. And for future reference is there any other security on the Golf Course. Well you have to understand the Golf Course is surrounded by shrubbery. When somebody gets into the shrubbery, theyre pretty much out of sight. All right. And at this level that he is at right now, hes not the sitting president. If he was, we would have had the entire Golf Course around it. But because hes not security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible. So i would imagine the next time he comes to the Golf Course there probably will be a little more people around the perimeter. But the Secret Service did exactly riwhat they should have done. They provided exactly what the protection should have been and their agent did a fantastic job. Which direction was the shrubbery where he was. More south . East, west, south of the road . The lay out of the Golf Course. You have three holes, 5, 6 and 7. One of them runs parallel to summit boulevard. One runs parallel to congress he was in the area in the shrubbery where he could see both holes. So the president was another hole back. Which means hes about between 4 and 500 yards away. So he was on the Golf Course . Oh hes on the Golf Course but hes back n aways. For the Secret Service, have you guys changed how you protect former President Trump now that its the second attempt. Deyes, the threat is high. We have increased the amount that we supported. So we live in dangerous times, yes. Were done with questions right now. Theres really nothing more for us to add. I just want to tell you, the Secret Service and the fbi and the state Attorneys Office have been fantastic to work with. And i can tell you right now, our agency with this realtime crime center was fabulous. Thats rhow we got the guy. We started out with we dont know anything. To where we had a tag, a Vehicle Description and we had an area where we saw the person. So be proud of your Law Enforcement. All right, thanks folks. Well get back to you. Good evening im jonathan, were back with the attempt on trump in florida. The fbi released a statement saying it is investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump. Trumps campaign says he is safe and the authorities have one person in custody. Donald trump was golfing at his club in west Palm Beach and took coverage in his vicinity. Senior Law Enforcement officials say Secret Service spotted a man with a weapon outside the Golf Course fence and Opened Fire. An ar Style Rifle was recovered at the scene as well as a backpack. Trump has now left the golf club, Lehis Motorcade is seen here heading back to maralago a short while ago. Both President Biden and Vice President harris have been briefed on the matter. Lets bring in nbc News Justice and Intelligence Correspondent ken dalanian. Ken you just heard from Press Conference. Tell us what stood out for you. What did we learn . Jonathan, i think it shed significant new light of what happened here according to the officials. The fbi was doing a sweep of the holes that Donald Trump was coming toward. He was one or two holes behind when they spotted this man with a Rifle Poking out of the shrubbery and they Opened Fire. They engaged this person who then fled and then he was arrested by local Law Enforcement on the highway and they found an Ar Rifle and a backpack. And so, that sort of giving you an idea of why the fbi is saying this appears to be an Assassination Attempt. Again without knowing what this person this saying to authoriti if anything. They appear to suggest he wasnt saying much. We dont know exactly what they know about him. But based on the sheer facts as laid out by the local Law Enforcement officials here, you had a man with a gun, essentially laying in wait in the shrubbery with a gun and scope. They say if he were the president there would be more security. But because hes just a candidate theres less security. Theres going to be a lot of questions about that. Why there isnt more security around Donald Trump right now. But thats what theyre telling us, as the Secret Service agents were going to clear the hole that he was about to play, they spotted this man with a rifle perceived a threat, Opened Fire, the man apparently wasnt hit. Fled. And later arrested. Hes now in Custody And Theyve recovered the rifle. As we were coming on air the Press Conference had just started. I believe that was someone from the county Sheriffs Office who was talking about the sequencing of events. How the Secret Service Opened Fire on this person. This person jumped out of the bushes and into an awaiting suv. What i didnt hear, was how he, how they were able to get him so quickly. Something about taking m a picture of the car and then feeding it to this, sort of i guess its called a real life crime alert system. And thats rehow they were able to get him so quickly. Were you able to hear that part of the Press Conference . I didnt hear all of it, jonathan. But i think i understand what happened based on other reporting ive done on police departments. Theres a lot of Data Analysis that goes on in major police departments. And they have these Realtime Crime Centers with screens and analysts and people Sharing Information. And so, if they crwere able to load a picture of a License Plate, and get that to all vehicles, they would have Put A be on the look out notice out to everybody in a Police Car in that area. And they spotted that vehicle on the highway. Pulled him over. We have a, the sheriffs had released a photo that we have of that vehicle being pulled over and the suspect being detained. They also mentioned something about a witness. But i didnt hear that completely clearly. But clearly it was fast Police Work there. You now the Secret Service, the Person Flees in a car. Then is pulled over and detained. Reporter as youre speaking we are looking at pictures from the Martin County Sheriffs Office. Or we were, of that suv being detained there. We see it now. There in sort of the center of that photo. The Sheriffs Office and Law Enforcement capturing this accused potential shooter of Donald Trump as he was trying to flee the scene. I reported earlier the president and Vice President have been briefed. Bring us up to date on what is happening. Reporter T Relearned From t White House that both President Biden and Vice President harris have been briefed on the situation. The very little information that was available to them. This was 3 15 that we learned they had been briefed. It was a little before 2 00 when this happened. The president and Vice President were relieved that the former president was not injured. Theyre expected to be updated. The Vice President posted on x that she had been briefed in fact, and she said im glad he is safe. Then she went laon to say violence has no place in america. Something that weve heard obviously from the Vice President on the Campaign Trail and her personal capacity as well. This is something that she has been talking about. Political violence. That statement from the Vice President suggests this incident does at least reheighten her concern about political violence in this country. And violence in general, i think we know that the president his team will be updating him as inside through the day and into tomorrow obviously. We have y not yet heard whether we would hear from the president again. Back in july when the incident happened when former President Trump was hit by a bullet. The president did speak shortly after that happened and canceled some of his travels in the week ahead of him. We have not heard anything on that regard at this point. But we will ask if we will hear from the president about this incident. Obvious ly the former President Wasnt hit here but its on the President S Radar And Hell keep abreast of it. Reporter once more question. Since youve been at the lawn since this news broke of the Assassination Attempt of Donald Trump. If theres been any noticeable increase in security at the White House or if youve learned of any increased security at the Vice President s naval observatory. Since this news broke. Yeah, so formally know. They would not make us aware of any changes in its posture. Thats something ive been told directly. That if there was a change , we would not be made aware. There were tons of people out there earlier this afternoon and i think there were some Midshipmen Singing earlier, and i have noticed a little after 3 00 that area has been cleared. Theres nothing there. Theres some Secret Service vehicles, Secret Service police vehicles that are in the Walk Way Place between the White House and the fence. To my eye there has been a change this afternoon. Whether thats directly related to what happened in florida we cant say at this point but there has been a shift in the Law Enforcement presence and The Public presence outside the White House fence. Congresswoman demmings great to see you. Based on the reporting we have now, what are you, what are you looking for in terms of the Law Enforcement response . Jonathan, let me say this, this is exactly the kind of incident that we do not want to see in any campaign. Whether its for the presidency of the united states, or state or local areas. No person should be subjected to an attempted assassination. We did hear three things today, im glad we did, Number One that the former president is safe. Number two, that the suspect that they believe is responsible has been apprehended. And number three, they dont believe that there are any accomplices. We have seen the federal, state and local agencies working together. Theyve been working together before this tragic incident. They will continue to work together to figure out, they believe they know the who, but the why how was this able to happen. If there are others involved in plotting to hurt the former president. We know they have a lot of work to do. But they will continue to beat the bushes if you will and burn the Evening Oil to find out how this attempted, as its been called, was able to happen today. In the Press Conference that the local Law Enforcement did, local Law Enforcement officials they were talking with at the top of the hour. They were talking about the speed with which they were able to find this person. Can you talk more about that. The systems that were in place that made that happen. After 9 11, its interesting we just recognized the 23rd anniversary. Law enforcement has gotten a lot better Sharing Information between the agencies. If you remember that was a major problem during the response to 9 11. Now you will see that local agencies whether its the Sheriffs Office and all of the municipalities around him or her, they have an automatic system where they can immediately share information. They do thave an agreement and believe thats what led to the quick apprehension. There was Law Enforcement on that Golf Course who saw the individual in the first place and also saw him get in a vehicle. Was able to get some very clear identifying information on that vehicle. In Palm Beach that certainly led i believe to the quick apprehension by Martin County of this individual. But as i heard someone say earlier, you know on 95 we know what the average speeds are. But this person was obviously traveling pretty quickly down the road trying to get away. But because of the systems that are in place Law Enforcement was able to share pertinent information and the apprehension could not have come quicker and thats a good thing. Congresswoman demmings i want to bring in my Anchor Colleague Dean to help us with this continuing coverage. Were going to continue our conversation with you right now. Oureporter its great to speak to you mrs. Demmings. I just wanted to get your thoughts from this updated information we got from both the Law Enforcement officials and the Secret Service. One of the moments that stood out to me in that briefing was when the sheriff was asked about whether or not the perimeter of the Golf Course had been secured to which he responded. Given the O Fact he is no longe president. Did not secure the outside perimeter of the shrubs of the Golf Course. But there were as they mentioned several Golf Holes ahead of the president , were you surprised by the fact that they did not secure the outside of the Golf Course since he had previously survived an Assassination Attempt. I believe the Secret Service based on their current policies are doing everything that is within their power to thoroughly protect the former president of the united states. We know that also, that the sitting president does get a different level of security than former President S do. But i urthink the good news of this is that they were doing the sweeps ahead of where the president was traveling those holes that he was approaching. It appears to me that they immediately based on their keen observation skills,s they immediately saw this suspect in the hedges, in the bushes pointing a long, what was later identified as a long gun in their direction. And so, we also have to remember that we know that when the president , former president plays golf here again its outside. It is a challenge. I wont says the impossible. But it certainly presents a challenge you know having served as a special Operations Captain involved in Dignitary Protections of sitting President S of the united states at the orlando police department, it is a challenge to secure an outdoor area. Or theres facilities that are sharing that Golf Course. Im sure there are concerns in the Secret Service minds about their safety as well if there is a threat. And they certainly dont want a threat to come from them. So there are a lot of things to consider being outside does make it a lot more challenging. But we are thankful that former president is okay and the suspect is apprehended. Where do you think right now the interrogation of that suspect goes representative demmings in terms of what theyre trying to ascertain. I know they said they have the bomb team, as well as the Evidence Team all on sight and they have the suspect in custody. E you know, they are trying Number One, certainly clearly identify who he is. Im sure they are checking all Law Enforcement data bases to see if he is familiar to Law Enforcement. I know there were some questions before whether the fbi knew sowho he was. Chances are if he is from the west Palm Beach or Palm Beach area local Law Enforcement. If he has had previous encounters would know who he is. Theyre trying to make sure of who he is. Then theyre going to start working backward. From the moment that he was on that Golf Course where that long rifle, theyre going to start retracing his steps. What was he doing. They have to get Search Warrants for his phone. Theyre looking at who did he talk to. What were those conversations about. Did he act alone or were there others involved in this attempted Assassination Attempt. So they are going to be backtracking with a light looking at everything to determine how he ended up on the Golf Course with a long gun threatening the former president of the united states. Reporter congresswoman, let me ask one more question about another piece of evidence that the local Law Enforcement shared which is that there were backpacks found near the site of the fence. And when you kind of talk about the former President S schedule. A very tightly guarded you know set of information if you will. His movements, his whereabouts throughout the course of the last week. He was moving throughout different properties. Throughout the Campaign Trail. He spent some time in bedminster and in florida as well. Is there any reason to believe based on the fact that they said there were backpacks there that this individual may have been in the shrubs. Predating the arrival of the president today. Given the fact that its almost nearly impossible for The Public to know at any given moment where the president might be. Whether or not hes going to be playing Golf Today or whether or not he would make stops some where else. You know, that is such an excellent question. What i do know with the sitting president , Secret Service will do sweeps days in advance. I would believe that the Secret Service assigned to former President S would also do the a same thing. But, its quite possible, and we also remember it appears that many shooters, many assassins will also have backpacks with either additional ammunition or, you know explosives. So the Secret Service is very important that Law Enforcement does engage in those sweeps if you will to make sure that there is nothing in the area that can still cause further harm but you know, as i said earlier, we do still have a long way to go in this investigation. The Secret Service, the fbi and local Law Enforcement. Its certainly, will do everything within their power. We also talked about the charges and warrants that may be filed that would not preclude federal chargeless. What do you think those charges will look like from the local officials versus what they might look like from the federal officials who we now know are involved this investigation. We know were dealing with the former president of the united states. But in west Palm Beach, in Palm Beach county, these crimes occurred in their jurisdiction. Certainly we should expect local Law Enforcement and state officials to file charges that are appropriate. Is it attempted murder, is it, of the first degree depending on what they find out or second degree. We have a d long way to go. Possession of a firearm, a dangerous weapon in a place thats quote open to The Public. There are a lot of different charges that local and state can come up with, and its going to be interesting to see. The locate state and federal officials. I would guess they will prosecute this individual to the fullest extent of the law. As we heard there from dave arron berg. C1 welcome back everyone to our coverage of what the fbi is calling a new apparent Assassination Attempt against former President Trump. He was golfing at his club in west Palm Beach florida and took cover in his vicinity around 2 00 p. M. Secret service spotted a man with a weapon outside at the fence. A suspect is now in custody. Donald trump is safe and back at his residence in maralago. Reporter and joining us now, special for the u. S. Secret service, mr. Mcdonald. Thank you for being here. We want to pull the camera back here and bring people along here. Can you describe the difference in the Security Package for a former president versus a sitting president. Then well talk about specifically what happened today. Well you heard since July 13th a loot of discussion about those levels of security. The Secret Service is always going to provide a level of security based upon intelligence, becaused upon the protectee. Based upon their recognizability. The Secret Service is very good at what it does. It wasnt very good on July 13th. But since then they have tightened up quite a bit around the former president with other assets. More people, more different things that are going to be offered to a former president that wouldnt normally be in that package. Former President Trump is a very recognizable, very visible figure as opposed to other former President S who dont do as much in the Public Sector anymore. So the Secret Service has various levels of protection that always provide the same 360degree Coverage that a president , Vice President or former president gets. They may just not have all of the particular assets in place at any particular time. Well given that then, why wasnt the Golf Course completely locked down. As we heard in the previous Press Conference. I dont remember which agency talked about this. It could have been the Secret Service about how the Secret Service agents were a hole ahead of the former president. Thats how the agents saw the gun then engaged the alleged potential shooter. A lot to boil down, the Secret Service is not going to necessarily shut down every venue that any former president is at during the course of the day. What this says to me today, the agents being a couple of holes ahead and a couple of holes behind and a couple of holes to the side provided a protected bubble for the former president and his golfing partners and were able to spot this alleged shooter In The Woods with his weapon. So whral that says to me, some good what that says to me, some good thing, this individual was able to be spotted before incurring any damage on the former president. Yeah, would it be the best possible scenario to shut every venue down that every one of our protectees go to, you bet. But that is not always able to happen. And i want you to talk about the weapon. He said it was an ak47 along with a Go Prothat were discovered on the fence outside of the perimeter of the Golf Course. That kind of struck me as unusual. Ak47s are not wells that are very prevalent in the united states. I was wonder if you thought that as well. I think thats going to be a big part of the investigation going on. The local and state entities working on putting the pieces together. The representative said a few moments ago. All of those things are going on right now, interviews with family, friends, what was going on with this individual. How did he get the gun. Did he purchase the gun. Did someone Purchase It for him. All of these things are coming together and granted i dont think that the folks giving the News Conference at this point were only a couple of hours into this had all of those answers to those questions. All of those things are going on right now to try to put this puzzle together for us. Mr. Mcdonald, once the Secret Service engaged this alleged potential shooter. What then is the procedure for the former president. What happened after the shots were fired. Secret service is primarily responsible for the protection. His protective ship enveloped around him and moved him to those armored vehicles to get him out of harms way. The Secret Service if the happenstance was there, they will try to catch the perpetrator but their focus is on protecting the former president. A lot of positive things coming out of the wonderful work of all of those Law Inforcement partners participating in the protection of the former president today. Given the fact this is the second Assassination Attempt as the fbi said an attempted Assassination Attempt within the past two months on the former president. What does the Secret Service do from here in terms of changing the posture of security around this former president given all these threats that now emerge . I think it needs to keep looking at all of these horrible acts as an opportunity to continue to retool itself. Continue to reboot itself. Continue to figure out ways to be better. The Secret Service as we said, numerous times in the last two months has a no l fail mission. Here we have opportunities where things are happening where those failures could be shown. The Secret Service needs to continue to tightening up its procedures and practices. They do work when acted upon. They need to make sure theyre showing up every day giving the best possible efrts they can do to implement a secure and safe Security Platform for the former president and his family. Especial ly as we move into the Home Stretch of the season. Do you expect for President Biden or even for Vice President harris who is now the democratic president ial nominee. I think as you heard aaron said, i think theres going to be some things that are tightened up that wont necessarily be visible to everybody. Based on the fact that weve had two instances here in the last two weeks or so on a president ial nominee that i think the Secret Service is going to take it very seriously. That those apparatuses and platforms that are implemented around the sitting president and the Vice President who is the democratic nominee are going to be tightened up a little bit. All be it not necessarily visible to all of us on the outside looking in. If you were still in the Secret Service would you be advising the president to change perhaps any of the things that he is doing that are part of his routine as you probably heard were talking to representative vennigs about this. The possibility that the suspect was laying in wake if you will outside of the Golf Course. Because of the schedule of the former president very tightly guarded. Very difficult for anyone in The Public to access and the idea that he just happened to be at the Golf Course on a day that he wasnt even sure that he was going to be golfing with an Assault Rifle ready to strike at the president. Would it be prudent for the former president to change any of his behavior and gatherings. Secret service would love all of their protectees to never go outside an stay inside and never go outside to shake hands and kiss babies. The candidates are going to want to go out and campaign. Theres going to be times when the Secret Service will say what the better time or day. But the Secret Service is not going to tell them what to do. We want to bring the same Security Level thats at the White House. The Secret Service is going to do everything it can do to make sure people are protected without meddling with their schedules so they can go out and campaign as we move into november. Mr. Mcdonald, earlier i went on to the Donald Trumps president ial campaign where he has his schedule there. Hes supposed to be in flint my michigan on the 17th. Willmington, North Carolina on the 19th. J. D. Vance is supposed to be in michigan and wisconsin on the 17th. Given that this is now according to the fbi, an attempted Assassination Attempt. And as pointed out this is the second attempted assassination of Donald Trump, will or would the Secret Service prevail upon the former president to alter or change his plans for any of these rallies that i mentioned a moment ago . Well i think the Problem Weve got jonathan there, the local information gets out with respect to rallies or venues theyre going to be going to. Local news will be reporting that for several days ahead. Joining us now is cedric alexander. Hes also a former member of the police response. You heard from the Palm Beach sheriff saying we should be thanking our Law Enforcement officials for this response. Lets talk about that response from the moment the Secret Service engaged the alleged suspect outside the fence to the moment he was apprehended this kind of joint cooperation between eyewitness, local police department, Secret Service and the fbi. What did you make of it . Well in a situation like this, and i think we saw this here most recently during the first attempt on former President Trump. You saw immediately when that whole incident started. Local Law Enforcement which is very much a part of the security profile, platform rather that the Secret Service has to put together. When those incidents occur and it appears or sounds like in this case the Secret Service may have been the very first to respond on scene. Certainly being there with the president and what will happen automatically. Radio transmissions will go out. Everyone within that general area is going to respond and then youre going to see coordinated efforts take place to secure the scene and try to provide a perimeter in and around the location of that shooting. And clearly, in this case it appeared they did what needed to be done and they were able to apprehend someone and bring them into custody. So i think, as this story continues to unfold we will know more and then well be able to certainly share more. But i just think from in regards to the question youre asking, i think they did a tremendous job in being first responders from outside of the Secret Service itself. Law enforcement agencies involved in just a president ial Visit Or Everyone the movements of a former president , lets say this incident had not happened, who is considered the lead agency. Is it the Secret Service, is it local Law Enforcement. In a case such as this, and in any type youre talking about a former u. S. President. This is at the federal levels. This is the level of government. This is always going to be a case where the Secret Service are going to be the protectors of that protectee. And at The End of whatever incidents may have occurred, the fbi is generally going to be the investigative unit that is going to take control of that scene and local and state Law Enforcement will provide any and all support of that as needed. But its generally always going to be an agency thats going to be at the forefront of that investigation. Of course in this one i think were already hearing thats the fbi. I know mr. Alexander a lot of people are going to be watching this are going to think this is quite remarkable that for a second time in almost two months theres been a second Assassination Ail tempt against the former president of the united states. It is a very unsettling moment for our country that any political figure survives these type of says Nation Attempts let alone twice. But what immediately goes through your mind as somebody formerly in Law Enforcement. As someone that has to address with the Threat Matrix on what this means for our country and our politicians. Well currently, and i think we all know were living in a very challenging time. Particularly in and around this election season. And the amount of information, misinformation, disinformation thats been shared out there. A great deal of discontent between those on the left and the right. I mean, its just so much an environment right now that is just really very negative. And its very scary to the american people. And we saw an initial attempt by a lone gunman about eight weeks ago and here we are again a few weeks later. Where former president of these united States Life is being threatened again. Theres just absolutely no place in our society for this type of violence or any type of violence. But when you make an attempt, to assassinate a former president , or anyone within our system, those former leaders, leaders those at the federal level in this case were talking about it certainly is indicative to me of a society that is really troubled right now. What i would encourage quite frankly, that all of us that are americans in this country, we really have to step back and recognize the fact this is our government. We have to protect it. This is our political process. They have the right to run for elected office and we as citizens in our Decision Making have a responsibility to make sure too, when we hear something or see something that its reported.
