Happens now in the classified documents case, just eight months from the election. Then, the Top Senate Democrat calling out israels Prime Minister. He says Benjamin Netanyahu is an obstacle to peace. No president e no Vice President have ever visited an Abortion Clinic until today. Vp harriss history making tour of The 11th Hour gets underway on this thursday night. Greetings, everyone, i am Simone Sanders townsend in for stephanie ruhle. We are now 236 days away from the election again today, donald trump failed in one of his attempts to have his classified documents case dismissed. The Presumptive Republican nominee spent his day in a florida courtroom to watch his attorneys argue two motions to have the case tossed out. The judge Eileen Cannon appeared skeptical and denied one of the requests just hours later. There is still another motion that she plans to rule on promptly. Here is Laura Jarrett with moore. Reporter tonight in a new legal blow of federal judge denying former President Trumps request to toss out criminal charges, letty alleging he hoarded classified documents that maralago. The presumptive gop nominee seen arriving this morning, greeting supporters gathered outside the order courthouse. His attorneys arguing the law on National Security secrets is too big and that mr. Trump believe he was allowed to keep the documents as his personal records, according to the president ial records act, saying last night i took them very legally. And i wasnt hiding. Reporter the federal judge, a trump appointee to writing a dismissal over vagueness now would be quote, premature and earlier at the hearing, appearing skeptical of any argument to toss the charges based on the president ial records act, telling mr. Trumps team, it is difficult to see how this gets you to the dismissal of an indictment. No decision yet on the trial date. Mr. Trumps team urging her to push until after the november election. There are the moments brewing in trumps other trials. Were still waiting for decision on whether Fulton County d. A. , fani willis will be disqualified from the Georgia Election interference case of accusations that she benefited financially from a personal romantic relationship with one of the prosecutors. The judge said that decision will come by the end of the week, which, of course, is tomorrow. If you need more proof the wheels of justice grind slowly, the Hush Money Case will likely start a monthly. Federal prosecutors just recently turned over documents related to the case. Just about a year after they were asked to. Manhattan d. A. Alvin bragg said he would go along with a 30 day extension so trumps team can review those very late files. The final decision on timing is up to the judge. Lets bring in our lead off pena, eugene scott, senior politician for access. Peter baker, chief White House Correspondent for the New York Times and former u. S. Attorney, joyce vance who spent 25 years as a predator federal prosecutor. Both msnbc contributors. Joyce, all right, lay it out for us, where does the classified Documents Case Stand after today . Right, so this will sort of an ugly win for the government. It was a win that the judge did not buy trumps motion to dismiss but she virtually invited trump to raise this emotion again during trial when more of the evidence is available. And, of course, the downside to that is decisions that the judge makes after the jury has been impaneled and the cases started cant be reviewed. That is because of double jeopardy. Says that once the government has got a jury in the box and the case is underway, that the government loses, that is final so that point in time, judge cannon could look at this motion again, could decide that the evidence merits that she grants it, and the case would be over. And that is probably the worst possible outcome of these motions for the government beyond an outright dismissal now, which they could, of course, appeal at this point in time. There were a number of things that happened in court today, joyce. One of them was that judge cannon really seemed, points, to kind of match the conversation to a place where Trump Lawyers could compare the biden document case and this trump case. What did you think of that . Clear right, so this isnt an appropriate thing for a judge to do, and it certainly cant form the basis for any of her rulings. She is supposed to consider the merits of the case in front of her. Sometimes judges can look at other cases and decide what the results in those cases dictate, in a case that they are considering. But in this situation, the situation was made that joe biden should not be prosecuted and those sorts of decisions about who to prosecute our uniquely within the area of responsibility of prosecutors and the justice departments. Judges dont get to decide who gets indicted and who doesnt get indicted they are supposed to rule on the cases in front of them on the merits of those cases. If she strays in any way from that, that could form the basis for a government appeal. You know, eugene, it is a fulltime job to keep up with all of these cases, literally. There are literal report is dedicated to the trump trial beat. These hearings, these trials, especially as donald trump tries to have them delayed or thrown out altogether, with eight months to go until the election, how do you see this classified documents case specifically shaking out quickly it is getting frustrating for voters. I was speaking with swing voters last night and it is reminding them of who donald trump was. And this is not what he wants if he is going to try to win people outside of his face, which is what he needs to do in key states. No part of his strategy is to turn out the base, thinking that there are enough of them to get into the oval office. But the numbers dont support that. In these cases are reminding people, who may be even voted for trump, what could happen if they send them back to washington. Peter, i mean, swing voters not tonight liking actios focus groups not liking what they are hearing about these cases. Now the right does want to keep as much attention on the biden documents case as possible. The Biden Campaign and the white house, i dont think they talk very much about Donald Trumps legal woes, last time i checked. Do you expect that the symmetry to change at all . No, i think the biden team will want to stay away from talking directly about trumps legal case because they dont want to feed into the Conspiracy Theory that trump promotes with his base that this is all somehow i biden orchestrated witchhunt. There is no evidence of that, of course, and they dont want to look like he has something to do with it so he wont talk about it. But you are right to say that they are probably going to try to complete complete the biden documents issue with the Trump Classified documents issue which is why, of course, it is a problem for a president that the first place, muddy the water, you heard that this week at the congressional hearing regarding robert hur. Investigating the president and deciding there was no crime to prosecute their against him for his handling or mishandling of classified documents. But you are going to hear this again and again, whether inside the courtroom, joyce is perhaps not legitimately but outside the courtroom you hear a lot. Why arent they prosecuting the president . He did the same thing i did, of course, we all know that the actions that the two president s took are a radically differently. And that is a problem for prosecutors and really a problem in terms of the political conversation. Well, eugene, you had biden on the trail today in michigan, donald trump in a courtroom. In florida, there are other court cases. How is the Campaign Planning to handle the demands of this legal schedule . Whenever that manhattan case gets going, the Hush Money Case, donald trump will have to be in court for every day of that trial. He will, will they have said that they are going to rely heavily on surrogates to go out to talk to people, when trump cannot. Also, the relationship with conservative media is going to serve him well. There will be quite a few interviews that he will probably used to try to make the case that he is being targeted with the spite, theres not evidence of that. He is also going to try to have rileys when he can because he loves the rallies and to get his message directly to people. Specifically he wants to come out to support him. I think it is going to be really interesting, though, is whether or not he has the stamina for all of this. There has been a lot of attention paid on whether or not joe biden can keep up with his Campaign Schedule trump has a campaign and a Court Schedule and he has age issues, as well, according to many voters. And so this is going to give him an opportunity to prove whether or not he can be what they need him to be for four more years, what he needs people to believe he can be for four more years. It might put into the test in american negative way and backfires. We can taming from the courtroom. You argue as an attorney, i just, i had to get what you and i heard i was coming tonight, i was wondering what did joyce think when she heard that new yorks u. S. Attorneys are the reason, the people to thank for an expected delay in the Hush Money Case. We were all looking to start on march 25th. Lisa look, i have more questions about this than answers, and i think it is important that we not get too far ahead of ourselves. What we know is that donald trump filed a motion to dismiss or at least delay this prosecution, claiming that there have been discovery violations. And they manhattan d. A. Fired back and said we fulfilled our discovery violations. The problem is that donald trump wanted some documents from the Southern District of new york, federal prosecutors in manhattan arent in any way a part of this case. But trump issued a subpoena to them, and they have delayed in turning over these documents, the Trump Lawyers apparently agreed to multiple delays. But now they are saying that they want they continuance in the trial. The manhattan d. A. , i think, has done the right thing here. He said there are some documents that need to be reviewed fairly by the defense. Will agree to a 30 days delay and if the manhattan d. A. S assessment of this new information holds up, there are Tens Of Thousands of pages of documents that he says, under 200 pages are relevant to this case and they are mostly witnessed testimony. That probably means information about votes like michael cohen, or perhaps former trump cfo, allen weisselberg. If 30 days can cure the problem here, the judge marchand will go ahead and reset the case for trial and will be back off to the races. But there are some Unanswered Questions here. Lots of Unanswered Questions, lots of documents to review. Peter baker, we are waiting for the judge in the georgia case, particularly in terms of fani willis and that hearing that we all saw on National Television to see where he comes down for that ruling. Today the house judiciary committee, which is led by jim jordan, and actually threatened to hold d. A. Fani willis in contempt and they said they were doing so because she did not comply with their subpoena, she has two weeks to respond to the chairman of the committee. Donald trumps allies on the hill, they seem to be trying to find any way they can to help donald trump. How much of this kind of thing do you think will ramp up as we continue to get closer and closer to november . Clean look, obviously congress has a limited role in overseeing any kind of state prosecution. It is not their job to monitor what fani willis does. That is up to the voters of georgia, perhaps the State Government of georgia but she doesnt answer to the federal government in a general sense. They are trying to do what trump is trying to do with his throw sand in the gears in every which way you can possibly do it. A motion to dismiss because yes, have a motion to dismiss, to delay because you need to see these papers in new york. Have a motion to disqualify the prosecutor because she has some sort of a Conflict Of Interest with a man she was dating. All of these things have managed to successfully derail, to some extent, the first three of these cases and now it looks like even the fourth one is having a little bit of a hiccup as a result. It doesnt mean that he is going to get off actually is to trial, doesnt mean that any of these cases will go away but he successfully managed at this point now to delay all four of them to some extent and that is his goal here, to delay, delay delay. See if he cant push these things off until after the election where he might be able to deal with it as a sitting president or, at the very least, push them so far close to the election he can then argue it is inappropriate to have a trial right before the vote or if he does have a trial, say the voters, look what they are doing to me. It is all a witchhunt. Please sounds like just trump strategy. Eugene, and little bit of time, 32nd, you have been reporting on tiktok. Earlier today, Senate Majority leader, Chuck Schumer, called the Prime Minister, netanyahu of israel and obstacle to peace. The call for new israeli elections our own garrett haig has the details. Reporter as israel targets hamas in gaza, humanitarian crisis grows, a Top Senate Democrat delivering a scathing review of israeli Prime Minister, vince, netanyahu, saying he needs to be replaced in new elections. Prime minister netanyahu has lost his way. By allowing his political survival to take the precedence over the best interests of israel. Chuck schumer, the highest ranking jewish elected official in american history, blamed war at the feet of hamas but says netanyahu is an obstacle to peace. He has been too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in gaza, which is pushing support for israel worldwide to historical lows. Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah. Reporter Republican Leaders slamming the criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu who is also known as bebe. The Democratic Party doesnt have a antiisrael problems. It is just plain wrong for an american leader to play such a divisive role in is really politics when our closest ally in the region is an existential battle for the very survival. Netanyahu has not responded to schumers comment. The white house says the Majority Leader gave them a heads up about his speech but in recent weeks, President Biden has spoken with netanyahu. He has a right to defend israel, a right to continue to pursue hamas. But he must, he must he must pay more attention to the innocent lives being lost as a consequence of actions taken. He is hurting, in my view, he is hurting israel more than helping israel. It is important to note that israel does not have an election scheduled until 2026. I want to welcome political defense reporter, laura civil meant, and peter baker is still with us. Peter, i asked laura how do i say her name, and i still butcher it. This is how, i am starting us off tonight. Peter, just take a step back and frame up for us how significant is this move from Chuck Schumer . I think it is incredibly significant Senator Schumer is one of the most important american political figures and he has given voice to a lot of frustration your hearing, particularly the democratic side of the aisle. It is not just important that he is the highest ranking jewish official in the american government, as you pointed out, but he is obviously a pretty close ally of the president and a lot of people wonder whether he is, in fact, with the white house, somebody who is giving voice to the feelings you might hear inside the west wing, even though they all say it themselves out loud. So that will be the question a lot of people in jerusalem will ask. What does this mean in terms of where biden is . Does it signal that at some point, theyre going to lose the white house, that they have been enjoying so far from the president. He has resisted democratic pressure to put conditions on the arms that are sent to israel. He has resisted International Condemnation of the United Nations Security Council and so forth. He has been a good ally to israel in that sense even as he has begun speaking out more aggressively about the course of the war as he sees it. So we are looking for here in israel right now, one of schumers comments mean and where it takes, the administration. Laura, seligman. Nbc news has reported that schumer has actually heard from families of hostages who are upset that Prime Minister netanyahu has not made the released of their loved ones a more priority. Where exactly do we stand right now on the hostage negotiations. And how are schumers comments playing in the israeli media today . You think the schumers comments are the sharpest critique we have seen so far of the Israeli Government from a u. S. Official. It really shows just how far the u. S. Government views on israel have shifted just in the last few weeks. I think it does reflect the white house frustration, as well as netanyahus government, clearly democrats are running out of patience with the situation. In the last couple of weeks you have seen many lines crossed, you have seen israel threatened to go into rafah, which is the Southern City in gaza where more than 1 Million People are shelter rolling right now. You have seen israel reject u. S. Please to open the borders, the land borders. You see them reject please for to think about a two state solution. So i think it really opens the floodgates for additional criticism of israel. You asked about the hostages, as well. Israel had threatened to do this invasion of rafah if the hostages were not released by ramadan. That was march 10th, that has come and gone, there has been no invasion and the hostages have not been released. I think that israel is going to come until those hostages are released, theyre going to keep these threats hanging over to go into rafah, to a fullscale ground invasion. They contain that is what they need to do in order to eliminate hamas. But lets remember, there is more than 1 Million People there right now and those people are starving so i think that there is a lot of pressure on the president right now to show that he is doing something about this really dire humanitarian situation. Peter, what kind of position does this really put the white house in . Obviously during his State Of The Union address, the president announced that the united states, in conjunction with other leaders in the region, are going to build a peer off the coast of the gaza strip to deliver humanitarian aid. In the interview with my colleague, jonathan capehart, jonathan asked the president , does he have plans to speak to the knesset . What really does the white house have to do . Well, look, the problem with that floating peer and the air drops is that it really doesnt get you to where you need to be in terms of humanitarian aid, right . The number of pallets you can drop from the air doesnt compete with the trucks that you need to get in by land but they havent been able to get them in. Right before the october 7th terrorist attack they were getting 500 trucks a day. Right now i think is about 150 trucks a day. That is why people arent, as laura said, in danger of famine in gaza, that is what the u. N. Said the other day, that there is imminent danger of famine in gaza. So while the air drops and the floating peer are symbolic of american commitment, theyre not going to solve the problem. They know that. So you hear the president talking increasingly about how much israel needs to respond to this crisis, to let more humanitarian aid, and they opened a new crossing. I think they are calling it 96, up in the north. That is obviously something that is welcomed by the administration but it is not enough and i think that the president is losing patience and the question for anyone is at what point does he say, okay, i have done what i can do, im going to do something more now, there is going to be more of a problem for netanyahu and his government there if he doesnt listen to what i am saying. Laura, i want to turn to the war in ukraine because speaker mike johnson, house representatives, is under pressure to pass ukraine aid, as military officials warned that ukraine could actually run out of ammunition in weeks. Just how dire is the situation there right now . It is really dire. Soldiers on the front line are already running out of ammunition. They are running out of air defenses, vehicles. And russia is actually taking ground and has been even in little steps for the last few weeks. Now the administration did manage to find some money under the couch cushions. They released a Surprise Package of 300 million worth of aid to israel that is going to allow them to send additional artillery, air defenses, and long range missiles, as well. Those are going to be in that package. That is going to help but to ukraine quickly to ukraine, yes, that is a drop in the bucket compared to the supplemental that the president has asked congress to pass and is languishing on capitol hill for months now. I believe that there is 60 Million Dollars worth of aid for ukraine and that is going to hopefully take it into the rest of the year and maybe next year, as well. Without that aid, they really are going to start to fall back. By the end of the year i think you could see them start losing the war. This stuff often reminds us on this program, the majority of that money is money to go to the pentagon so it can buy weapons, ammunitions, and things made in america. Laura, peter, thank you very very much. When we come back, Vice President harris makes a historic visit to an Abortion Clinic. All as democrats spend big on reproductive rights. I am here at this Healthcare Clinic to uplift the work that is happening in minnesota, as an example of what true leadership looks like. Which is to understand, it is only right and fair that people have access to the healthcare they need. How dare these elected leaders believe they are in a better position to tell women what they need, to tell women what is in their best interest. We have to be a nation that trusts women. Vice president Kamala Harris paid a historic visit to a Planned Parenthood Clinic in st. Paul, minnesota earlier today. It is new and improved Campaign Message for a spin in michigan. This is his first visit since the uncommitted vote rattled the states democratic primary. I want to ring in now former democratic congresswoman of maryland, a republican strategist for msnbc political analyst susan dell percy a. Okay, sources are telling nbc news that this may be the first time a Vice President or a resident has ever visited a clinic that provides Abortion Services. Set the stage for us, how big of a deal is this . Please simone, i think this is a really huge deal. Keep in mind that it wasnt until just a few years ago that people were even comfortable saying the word abortion on television. Let alone members of congress visiting Abortion Clinics. I think this was really significant. And the importance of elevating this issue as women and others americans elevated it as well, show a really stark contrast between the proreproductive rights support of the Biden Administration and President Biden and Vice President Harris Versus donald trump. There is a stark difference and i think this was the beginning of the messaging that will continue throughout the Campaign Season that elevates this as a concern to the american people. Susan, what is your reaction to this visit. And on a scale from one to 10, where do you think the Abortion Issue will range in terms of importance Going Forward to November 2024 . Somewhere around 32, maybe . I put it up really high. It is going to be front and center. And it will be front and center because of what the Vice President visit today. Congresswoman edwards is spot on when she says we can output the issue of womens reproduction healthcare and say the word abortion on television. This is about bodily integrity, women should have the right to take care of their own Healthcare Needs without someone suggesting that they better as Vice President said, so right now, by doing this, the democrats are saying to the republicans, yeah, you think you got something . We are going head on. And you still caught the car and cant figure this one out. You know, you talk about healthcare, susan, and i believe i heard that Vice President made today. Donna, i think we just need to take a moment to talk about the importance of these Planned Parenthood Clinics across the country. They provide a lot more than just Abortion Services. So isnt this about basic healthcare for a lot of women and people in general . I think that what the Vice President articulated is so important. The planned parenthood center, clinic that she visited like clinics all across the country provide mammograms, they do well woman checks. They do pap smears and a whole range of direct Healthcare Services and really, Abortion Services tend to be a very small percentage of the work that is done at these clinics. And i can remember, for example, being in college and seeking basic Healthcare Services at a Planned Parenthood Clinic. And so these are really important for Reproductive Health care. And remember when republicans, in the congress have tried to cut funding for Planned Parenthood Clinics and there was a revolt across the country, and the reason is because so many women get their basic Healthcare Needs met at these clinics. Susan, donald trump needs a running mate and he is reportedly worried that someone with a hardline stance of abortion will be a drag on a ticket. I do recall that donald trump is the president , was the president that put the justices on the court that helped overturn roe v wade, how are they going to backtrack for trump and for this running mate, whoever that may be . They wont be able to backtrack. As a matter of fact, i think they can for themselves with a group that helped got donald trump elected, that is evangelicals for donald trump is trying to pin it to a 15 or 16 Week National ban. And we can debate whether that is what we think of it. But a lot of people think that is just legalizing abortion on the right. They dont want to see that. They might come out to vote to say that donald trump just looked on the whole issue entirely. And lets not forget, a lot of republicans do come out as a sole issue voter. And that is what they came out for donald trump in 2016 and even 2020 on. So i would be surprised, i wouldnt be surprised if it hurt him. But just one of the things going to donald trump and frankly, his war on women, he also promised to get rid of the affordable healthcare act, which means millions of women, who get their reproductive, their Birth Control, through their insurance, will no longer be able to have that. He will be taking away your, not only your right over your body, and Reproductive Health care, but also your ability to have Birth Control i think this whole issue is going to really really blow up in his face. All right, the Affordable Care act, folks, literally considered a preexisting condition. Donna, before we go, i have to ask you about these Third Party Candidate situation. Now that the Democratic National committee is reportedly ready to go to war against spoilers, smith, who is a veteran democratic operative has been hired to lead that charge for what do you make of this . Look, im really glad to see this, actually. Because i do think that given that donald trump kind of has his base, he is counting on these thirdparty candidates. In fact, people who have been supporting donald trump have also been supporting other thirdparty candidates, Robert Kennedy jr. , as a matter of fact, because they want the third parties so anybody who is even thinking about voting for a thirdparty candidates, buyer beware, if you do that that means youre casting your vote for donald trump. We will leave it there. Donna, susan, thank you both very much. When we come back, folks, Actor Laurence Fishburne stars in a new oneman show decades in the making. Staff met up with him on the set, actually, as the set was being installed. Here we are, sort of at the emotional lead of you baring your soul, are you ready to do this . I have been baring my soul since i first set it on stage. Yes, but playing other roles. And now i am actually revealing supports for myself and we will surprise people. So that is cool. Laurence fishburne has had a long and extraordinary career, first coming to our attention in apocalypse now at the age of 15 since then, he starred in films such as boys in the hood, whats love got to do with it, and the matrix. Not to mention awardwinning roles on broadway and television. But now he is doing Something Different he has written and is performing in a oneman show about his own life. At the art center in Lower Manhattan, it is called like they do in the movies. For tonights keynote, Stephanie Sat down with him to talk about the show and why now . Reporter so you have been in movies, and television shows, you have won multiple enemies, you have been nominated for an oscar, you have won a tony, why a oneman show . Why a solo show . Yes. Klee benally cant believe it or not, and this solo show that i have gotten to do that i wouldnt be able to do anywhere else in the way that im trying to do right now. There are things that i get to share with the audience that i havent shared with people before. And it feels like the most appropriate way for me to do it. You describe it, you say there are the stories and lies people told me and the lies i told myself, like what . Like i used to have this lie that i told myself that i think probably a lot of people can relate to, which is that i was the center of the universe. You are. Please [ laughter ] i am not even close. I am just this tiny speck in all of this. You started writing this 20 years ago. Yes. Why now, why did you decide this is the moment to share my story . I did it decide that, just sort of organically happened. I was encouraged to write a one man show, i didnt want to do it as an actor, the writer in me did it anyway. I showed it to somebody who said oh, oh, okay, great. But i didnt get the message what he was actually saying it was great, you should do that. I thought he was saying, dont quit your day job. Because it is really vulnerable. So i stuck it in a drawer and it sat there for 15 years and i pulled it out and i was like hey, oh, and then i thought maybe i should add some stuff to this. And really make myself as vulnerable as possible. That is a good idea. So that is kind of where i am at. How much pressure did you put on yourself because you have always said diverse voices, diverse stories matter, characters that you have played, right . Whether talking about the dad in boys in the hood, malcolm x, mandela, have you felt the responsibility to be that example . Absolutely, i feel like i have always tried to represent the group that produced me in the best possible way. Listen, black stories have been a theme of my work, of my life all my life i havent been black half my life, i have been black all my life. And i understand this idea that you cant be what you cant see. And so as an actor, i have the opportunity to perform, obviously, to entertain, yes. But also to educate, to inform, to influence, to inspire. And so that is what i have tried to do. You have played heroes and you have played billions villains. I just like to play, honey. I am a player, i like to play. It is not about whether it is heroes or villains is about playing characters, and really really showing their humanity. In doing this project, you cover a lot. You dig deep and you talk about your personal life. You talk about your personal challenges. How did you make that decision and why . Because just standing on a stage for two hours and say love me, audience, that is vulnerable enough. What you are saying the good, the bad, and maybe the ugly quickly im exposing things about myself that people would not suspect. And i felt like that was the necessary thing to do at this point in my life. I am someone who is lived on the planet for 60 some odd years. I have had a great life, i have had an incredible career. And i have had my challenges, like everybody else. Nobody gets out of here alive and nobody gets out of here without some kind of struggle. Without learning something. We are here to learn, i think. So i am sharing some of the lessons that i have learned and i think the largest lesson, the most important one, anyway, is acceptance and forgiveness. Of yourself . Of everyone. And how did you decide what of yourself . Your personal struggles to share . It was very simple, i just took a look at my life and went oh yeah, i need to share this. What has that done for you personally . Im about to find out [ laughter ] i am about to find out. Is your true love in being a show Person Theater . You are coming back to theater . Theater is church for actors. No, they say that television is the writers medium, filmmaking is the directors medium, and theaters they have. How much of an honor for you, of all the things that you have done, how do you feel about this project . I am super excited i get to be back here in Lower Manhattan where i started working in the theater as a boy, telling my story. Telling some other stories that people are not really going to expect. And hopefully they will enjoy them. Are you scared . Am i scared of what . Putting yourself out there in this way . When you have the big screen, you are protected. Now youre going to be able to see the eyeballs of everyone listening to you are personal story youre not scared of that . There is no reason to be afraid about people who have come to see you. One thing, youre prepared. They are interested. There you go. Thank you so, so much. Thank you. And thank you to stephanie and lawrence for that keynote interview. I learned so much from having to deal with stuttering, it gave me insight into other peoples pain. Other peoples suffering. It made me understand that everyone, everyone has something they are fighting to overcome, sometimes try to hide. The last thing before we go tonight, when harry met divided. During a can pain speech in georgia, so President Trump mocked President Bidens stutter. Biden has been open about overcoming a debilitating stutter as a child. He sometimes hears from others, even children, who are dealing with the same condition. In a new post, biden wrote last year a young man named harry wrote me a letter about what it is like to live with a stutter. Tonight, i met him and his family in milwaukee and here are some techniques i use to overcome i pick my message to harry was simple, dont let anyone tell you what you can or cant do. Here is more from their meeting. Please, tell me about you. I have a stutter just like you. Dont let anybody tell you that you cant do anything, do whatever you want to do i used find it hard to talk and i am telling you, if you stand up in front of people and talk, because people will make fun of you. But remember, you are smart, you are handsome and no matter what you do, dont let anybody tell you. You can do anything, anything. I met a young man in 2020, he is a little older than yourself. And going to the wine, i could tell, every stutterer can recognize another stutterer and he went, and i said go on, my speech. I put a little mark on my speeches. And everywhere i say hello, milwaukee, hello, milwaukee. Thank you. That is the introduction and sharing the family story. So i mark my speeches, every single one. Thank you so much. You are so good. Thank you. President biden and harry to take us off the air tonight. On that note, i wish you a good night. Tomorrow, stephanie is back with a special nightcap episode.
