The best actor has to go to Congressional Republicans where they act like they care about the issues theyve been crying over. From the southern border to inflation. That is because they are taking cues from best director. Another easy choice in 2024. Who gave the best performances out of the worst actors. Even if it is not what the public wants to see. Just as the best award is for the producers, the best this year has been the president. They have actually produced something. A far better picture than what trump and the gop have to offer. That leads me to the last category, the best screenplay. Biden versus trump sequel will not be finished for another eight months. As the nation finishes the final draft. I think like the last one, the good guy wins at the end. Joining me now, senator bob casey running for reelection. Senator, we are two days from President Biden and donald trump giving the respective nominations for the rematch. We cannot expect the economy along with ukraine and the Israel Hamas War to dominate their campaigns. Those issues have dominated congress for months now. What we saw on thursday was not a contrast between two candidates but a contrast between two parties. When you consider what the president is fighting for and what i am fighting for. These rights are on the line. So i contrast as you said in performance. Being able to show that weve been able to deliver for pennsylvania, Infrastructure Dollars for big cities and small towns to deliver those dollars into rural areas in a lot of communities across our state. It is a marked contrast and the people of our state are getting a sense of that difference. The president has a stronger thanexpected report. 75,000 jobs added in february. A slight uptick for unemployment. The skyhigh solid stock market and inflation shrinking as Consumer Confidence grows, that shows that the biden economy is booming while other economies are stagnant. The campaign has struggled to sell optimism at the border. Is now the time to do both, senator . I think what we are seeing in the last 48 hours is the contrast of the record job growth, 15 million jobs across the country, i see it in pennsylvania all the time as well as the Economic Standing of our families. What the president spoke to in the state of the Union Address talking about lowering costs for families or if it is taking on Greed Inflation and shrinks elation that these Big Companies engage in every day of the week ripping families off while the prophets are skyhigh, jacking up the cost of groceries and household items. By taking down those corporations, he is speaking to the needs of families. I hear about it all the time in pennsylvania. The president spoke directly to that in his state of the Union Address. A lot of people are saying that we have to take action against corporate greed. And also, rolling back tax cuts. All they did was give shareholders a payday. They did not lower the prices or stabilize prices. Gop lawmakers are struggling to find a unified message on in vitro fertilization. Many of them have shared or taken credit for the demise. He wont say what his position is on the bill to protect ivf. Its another example of the extremism of the republican candidates including my opponent. It puts into focus what is on the line with the senate majority. I have to win not race to preserve the senate majority. We want to stop these extreme abortion bands, we need the senate majority. What does this bill specifically go after that has become a recent target for you and the president . The president was speaking to this reality that so many families face in the grocery store. He says the most awful things about people, saying that beyonci is satanic and that barack obama is not an american. He compared the senator to aid drug addicted mugger. These are words that he said out loud. It defies comprehension. Its about taking the state backwards. An incredibly damaging long term effect for our states economy. My vision is different as night and day. It is forwardlooking and inclusive and it is about tapping the potential of every north carolinian so that we can build a North Carolina that is safer and stronger. With all that you said about your opponent and all the things that you quoted, former President Donald Trump likened your opponent to Martin Luther king jr. In an endorsement. Saying he is like king, Martin Luther king on steroids. There are comments about extremism, homosexuality, religion, and more. He has told audiences since july last year it is time to read quotes from dictators. He said that blacks should pay reparations to whites. That trump in the gop are embracing a candidate like this. He would compare this man whose ministry is opposite of Martin Luther king as humanly possible. I dont think he wouldve liked to that comparison. He called king a mediocre preacher. He said it was the communist rights movement. I dont think that is a comparison that can stand the test of history by any stretch. You are the first jewish person to win a State Election as attorney general. This shows that antisomatic acts have increased in 2023 compared to the previous year. If you win this race, how will you tackle antisemitism, racial attacks on blacks during a time when the Israeli Government is at war with gaza . Yeah. This is another group that Mark Robinson has said awful things about. He promoted antisomatic tropes. He cast doubt on the holocaust. These are hurtful and ugly words. He needs to ratchet up as much humanitarian support as he can. This morning the alabama senator was on fox news trying to walk back claims that she made to the state of the Union Address. Lets take a listen from thursday night and then earlier today. I traveled to the del rio section of texas. That is when a woman shared her story with me. She had been trafficked by the cartels starting at the age of 12. Did you mean for this to happen in on President Bidens watch . This is why President Biden did during his first 100 years. When you are speaking to a national audience, your responsibility should be to tell the truth. She tried to leave the impression that this happened on President Bidens watch and that it happened in the United States. And that the president was responsible. That is just not true.
