Soil. We have seen the murder already happened, so, yes. Masks are calling about ways to increase security. In many parts of the country, Law Enforcement has responded by having more of a presence in front of religious institutions, especially synagogues. In order to help make the community feel safer. And i think thats important, in a time where there is a lot of frustration, confusion, and people are scared and shocked, still, about what has occurred. So, we have previously reported how dhs and the fbi are currently on high alert for possible attacks. They are looking for any possible threats. But we are seeing on the ground here, jasmine is something that we are seeing across the country. An increase in Police Presence outside of places of worship, particularly Jewish Centers and Muslim Centers as well. Yasmin . All right, marissa par for us. Marissa, appreciate it. A lot more coming up, folks. We are watching msnbc. Our second hour starts right now. Hi, everybody. Im yasmin vossoughian, through dystonias, welcome. If you are sticking with us, we are very thankful for that. After more than a week of delays, the first humanitarian aid trucks finally reach gaza. But unrelenting airstrikes continuing along with the looming prospect of a Ground Invasion, the area reeling from the aftermath of the hamas attack on israel, there is no safe hasten in gaza. There is nothing. There is nothing but bombs and bombs and bombs and blood and bodies. The latest in a live report, just moments away, until two americans are now released by hamas, more than 200 other hostages remain, being used as bargaining chips. Im going to speak to a brooklyn woman, whose cousin, her husband, and their two children are still being held. We are also following other several developing stories as well. The house not maybe in session today, but frantic Behind The Scenes efforts are taking place as we speak. New names being circulated, after jim jordan came latest republican to flame out in the efforts to find a new speaker. And a legal fallout from this weeks shocking legal developments. Two of Donald TrumpsGeorgia Codefendants now set to testify against him after taking pills, the latest on that is ahead as well. All right, want to start, though, with the latest in gaza. As israels impending Ground Invasion draws ever closer, its where else Defense Forces staying plans have been approved to quote, expand operational activities. Soldiers are currently standing by near the gaza strip, with residents of Northern Gaza receiving their final warning to move south. Nbcs Alison Barber is on the ground for us at the israel gaza border to talk more about this. Alison, good to talk to you. Do we have any indication here of when this Ground Invasion may infect begin, and will foreign nationals be able to craftons egypt us how promise, before that happens . They are both incredibly important questions, without specific answers, at least right now. We are Hearing Artillery in the distance. It sounds like its coming from the israeli side, headed towards the direction of gaza, a spokesperson for the Prime Ministers Office and a Press Conference a couple of hours ago and talked about what you just said, that they have prepared the next step, they have approval for the next steps and they said it will include a Ground Offensive into gaza. They have said the northern part of gaza really have told civilians to evacuate from, that that area is going to see the heaviest fighting, the most intense warfare, and they say israel says, about 700,000 palestinians have evacuated towards the south from that area but all throughout today, there have been missiles that have been launched from inside of Gaza Into Central and southern israel, and also, bombardments going into gaza, some in the south as well. Look, the rough across swing open this morning for humanitarian aid, 20 trucks carrying medicine, food, and water, were allowed inside of gaza, the State Department at put out another alert to u. S. Citizens inside of gaza, saying if you want to get to have, get as close as you can to the rafah crossing, because if it opens, it probably will not be open for a very long time, and that might be an opportunity to leave in the notice they sent to u. S. Citizens, they said it could open for foreign nationals to leave at 10 am this morning, and it did not happen. There has been, as far as, we know no instance of foreign nationals from inside of gaza, President Biden, in a statement, when he was talking about the humanitarian aid that went into the u. S. Hopes for that to be something that continues you also said that they are still working diplomatically with israel, the u. N. , and egypt to try and get u. S. Citizens outside of gaza. Yasmin, they have gotten so many alerts that people who are inside there, to move towards the Border Crossing, because maybe it will open and then, as people gather, it just keeps not opening. Its unclear whether or not they werent able to leave today because of some hold up on the Border Crossing, on the gaza side, or if it was some holdup on the egyptian side. But as far as we, now no american palestinians have been able to leave gaza so far. A u. S. Official, who has knowledge of some of the discussions going on around this, they have told nbc news the State Department has received 350 requests from people with american citizenship inside of gaza to leave, as well as 400 members of their familys. So, we are talking about close to 100 people stuck inside of gaza right now. With ties to the United States, wanting to get out. So far, there has been no avenue for them to leave. Yasmin . And in addition to the millions of civilians, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of civilians, innocent civilians, inside gaza as well. So, im curious, alison. As we talk about this rafah Border Crossing, right . My understanding is they only got about what, 3 of the population, when it comes to this humanitarian aid, right . They got water. They got food. Have you heard, i know you talked a little bit about, this but have you heard and the reporting as to if this border will be periodically open just for more humanitarian aid, as all of these people are gathering in the south, waiting for something to come from the north, this possible Ground Incursion will run out of this, if these supplies, fairly quickly, with nowhere to go . Yeah, i mean, the World Health Organization has described the grouping of trucks that went in with humanitarian aid as a drop in the ocean, in terms of what is actually needed. The hope from the u. N. And others is that this will be something that could happen routinely, when humanitarian aid is able to move in. But israel has also said that if they believe it got altman furred or hamas has gotten and humanitarian aid, they will no longer cooperate with this agreement. That is a red light of sorts for them. There is also this issue a fuel. That is something that is desperately needed inside of gaza right now. Hospitals are running on generators. They are running out of fuel, and its not something thats a spin part of this humanitarian aid agreement. And we spoke to people inside gaza, we knew they were talking at the steel, to get that isnt, food, and water, in their first thing was like, okay, thats great, but we really need fuel and how is it going to get to people who need it the most if once those trucks are inside and its handed over to the u. N. , to the red cross, the red crescent, how does it go further to get to the people who really need it . Israel has designated a city inside Southern Gaza, right near the water, about loss, e as a humanitarian city, but there is not a direct path from that city to the rafah Border Crossing that has been designated as a green zone or humanitarian corridor. So, i think theres still a lot of Unanswered Questions long term, about how this is going to continue without more humanitarian corridors established. Its one thing to have a city where you say thats where International Humanitarian aid can go, thats where people can get its, but getting it they are consistently, if there is not an agreement to not strike the area from the rafah crossing to that city, it seems like that its a difficult thing to sustain were guarantee long term, and we have seen, in recent days, even along the rafah crossing, as part of why egypt said it took so long for them to reopen it, there were israeli airstrikes in that area that severely damaged some of the roads nearby, and that was a reason why at different points, we thought the rafah crossing was going to open, egyptian officials said it couldnt because, i have to repair that first. So, israel has said they will focus their efforts on Northern Gaza, but the last couple of days, we have seen multiple israeli airstrikes into Southern Gaza still. Yasmin . All right, Alison Barber for us. Thank you, alison, appreciate it. We talked about this new Statement Released by the president of upon the delivery of this first batch of aid to gaza, vowels in they were just talking about. He also discussed discontinue effort to allow americans and other foreign nationals to leave gaza through egypt. Nbcs white house correspondent, allie raffa, is joining us now with more on this. What did the president , if you will, ali, have to say, and what is the administration doing to get more aid into gaza, to get that Border Crossing periodically reopens . , yeah absolutely, yasmin. We know it was only open for a few hours today. We dont know whether it will open tomorrow, and if it, does for how long . Then, the president in this new statement said they talked about the opening of that rafah Border Crossing over night. He says it was the result of quote, days of diplomatic engagement at the highest levels that engagement including that phone call that President Biden had with egyptian president elsisi on his way back to washington backed israel, where a disagreement was made to open the rafah Border Crossing for the state to go in. He also said that its national eight. And he says that the u. S. Is working its working to keep that processing opening. That said the u. S. Is working with egypt and israel to facilitate the ability of u. S. Citizens and their immediate Family Members to exit gaza safely and travel to their final destinations. You heard allison talk about the over thousand 350 americans west been in contact with the state apartment, requesting help to get their Family Members out. Thats out of the roughly 500 to 600 palestinians who are in their. As far as how the administration is working to get this done, they are keeping those details pretty close to the vest. There are not revealing what goes into the Behind The Scenes talks about this, because as you heard allison talk about, that Border Crossing on the gaza side is controlled by hamas and, of course, u. S. Officials, officials from this region concerned about the safety of these americans getting out there that rafah Border Crossing, if any of these factors, and if these different pieces of this giant puzzle go wrong, yasmin. Allie raffa for, us appreciate it. Coming back in just 60 seconds, israeli Defense Forces saying that more than 200 people are still being held captive by hamas. Right now. Six of them are Family Members of my next guest. How she and other relatives are desperately trying to get them freed or just receive any information on their wellbeing. Well be right back. Despite hamas releasing to americans who are being held captive, israeli Defense Forces confirming nearly 200 others are still believed to be held captive. That is leaving families in israel here at home wondering if their loved ones will also be free. One of those is alanas eye chick. Alanna, whose six cousins, sharon, david, julie, emma, danielle and amelia, were all taken as hostages nearly two weeks ago. Alanna is joining us now to talk more about this. Alanna, thank you so much for joining us. Im so sorry for what you and your family have been going through these last couple of weeks. Thank you having me. Tell us what you know about the experiences of your cousins and how they were taken . So, we know that around 7 am israel time, saturday morning on the seventh, they heard, they got a red alert which force them to go to their safety room, which they put themselves in and remain there for several hours. Until they realized it was not the usual rockets from gaza. And they could hear hamas In The House Next Door hurting The House Next Door and the connecting rooms through the ahmaud the smoke was coming since my cousin was sending voice notes to her family. To her immediate family. Smoke came, in essentially, smoked them out of the ahmaud, as if theyre rodents. At that point, she sent a voice note to my aunt and my uncle saying were probably not gonna get out of this. We love you then we saw a video of them in the truck. So. So you knew that they had been taken. I knew that the idf has informed you and your family that they are alive. They are being held in gaza. You got confirmation of that, i believe on friday. Do you know how they knew that information . And you know if theyre being held as a unit . Anne we have no idea. We know that theyre there, we know the idf is in contact with my family in israel to check in with them, we have absolutely no other information about their conditions, whereabouts. If theyre alive or not. Are you worried about their safety . Especially knowing that israel is planning on invading gaza . Do you think it would help them be found sooner . Anne im worried about their safety right now. Before any potential incursion. Theyre in the hands of evil. Im terrified about their safety right now. Its only think about. Its hard not to think about it. Am i scared . Of course. How can i not be. Youve been sounding the alarm for brooklyn, probably hard to be so far away from your family, knowing that theyre missing, and theyre being held in gaza by hamas. Are you getting support here. What kind of support are you getting . Weve got a lot of support for my community, friends, family, people have been, it was hard for me to eat. People have been sending the food. Sending me gift cards. Friends have sent me care packages. A lot of support on instagram from, ive been sharing whats going on. Ive gotten some amazing warm messages, people keep checking in on me and telling me theyre thinking about me and my family every day. It definitely helps to get that kind of support right now. Its kind of necessary. I dont think i could ever have been prepared for this. Tell me a little bit, if you will, alana, about your cousin, sharon, david, the kids, im seeing these beautiful pictures of the girls here. As youve been speaking. Yeah, theres some of my closest Family Members. My mom is one of five. My oldest, her oldest sister, ricky, has three kids. Sharon and danielle are sisters. She is like my little sister. Both of them i really grew up with them. She was on the kibbutz with david and the little girls. The little girls are so beautiful. So happy. Such smiley, happy little girls. Danielle is like a big sister to me. She actually lived in our house here in new jersey where my parents lived in new jersey. When i was younger, for a little while. Shes like a big sister, very nurturing. She and i, we love yoga, we have so much in common. Her daughter amelias, shes also a single mother. She had amelia by herself. And she, amelia, is so clever. So smart. My cousins joke around, she needs to be eating every five minutes. Shes just a fiveyearold. Yeah, shes a normal little fiveyearold. The only to be eating every five minutes. Now they find themselves in this awful, desperate situation. The hope is, at least, theyre hopefully together. Alana zeitchik, the thank you very much, my best to you and your family in the days to come. And the return of your cousins as well. Thank you for having me. Still ahead, everybody. How a Ground Invasion of gaza could impact those, like alana family farmers, as we go to, break how israel is fighting hamas, not just in the air and on land, but also etsy. This is Deborah Haynes from sky news. Israels navy allowed us to film on a Patrol Vessel off the israeli coastline, close to gaza. Smooth sailing for now, but hamas use these waters as part of their assault on israel two weeks ago. Footage shared by the military shows fast boats trying to storm the shore. Some new developments out of georgia, as two former attorneys to then former President Trump, Sydney Powell, kenneth chesbrough, have officially struck plea deals withprosecutors. They will avoid jail time, they must cooperate with the prosecutions case against former President Donald Trump and his remaining codefendants. Joining me now is nbc News Senior National political reporter, Jonathan Allen to talk more about this. Jonathan, thank you for joining us on this. Appreciate. It seems like a bit of a new ball game here. What do you make of these guilty pleas . And how they change the calculus for team trump, his defense, in georgia. We were very much expecting Sydney Powell in canada chesebro to stand trial. There was an earlier plea deal rejected by chesebro. Theres a surprise here in the last few days. Whereuve seen Sydney Powell and chesebro both agree to these plea deals. Obviously, we dont know exactly what theyre going to say. Very involved in the president s efforts overturn the 2020 election. Theyve now pleaded, or are pleading, guilty to these crimes. Looking at probation, the expectation here is that theygit the government believes, the government of georgia believes, is helpful in his case against former President Trump. I also want to ask you quickly about new york, as well, the judge overseeing trumps civil fraud trial find the former president 5,000 for defying this partial gag order. He even floated jail time for the former president over this issue as well. It was pretty clear that these gag orders could spell some trouble for trump. What is your reaction to this . And the possibility of what it could look like for him Going Forward . Inside of an Election Year . Great question, yasmin. Former President Trump makes the case that these gag orders or an effort to stifle political discourse. He sent a very differently to these gag orders, to protect the process as a way to prevent people who work in the court, or for the prosecution as being protecting them from intimidation, harassment, we had a situation here where the former president s lawyer said that he had taken down the offense of truth social post which had gone after one of the judges clerks. Apparently, that had been taken down on truth social, but not from the Trump Campaign website. I think were in a situation here, where former President Trump can attest the boundaries in this gag orders. And judges are going to do what they will, obviously, this was a warning from the judge. And not an actual effort to Imprison FormerPresident Trump, which could have all sort of unforeseeable consequences, i dont think it in the judges interest to actually put trump in jail, at least at this point. Or he would have done that. 5000 dollar fine is, again, a warning to trump. To not play so close to the lines. Jonathan allen for us, thank, you jonathan. Appreciate it. The next gop candidates for House Speaker have less than 12 hours for studying a noon sunday deadline, for jim jordans attempt crashed and burned for the first time on friday. At least ten republicans could be throwing their hats in the ring. As the party is saying theyre gonna hold a third closeddoor candidate form on monday, followed by a new vote on tuesday. I want to bring in capitol hill correspondent Julie Tsirkin to talk more about this. There have been several people who have confirmed today theyre officially running for speaker. Who are they, julie, and one of the chances at this point . The chances are up to depending on who you ask, yasmin, obviously, weve seen, in the last two candidate forms, jim jordan, than before, that steve scalise. They struggle to get the votes, jim jordan losing those three ballots on the floor before being ousted behind closed doors. Nearly half his conference voted against him. Really, not looking good for any of these guys. As you mentned, yes, nearly a dozen Candat Have Neither said theyre interested in running, or have officially entered. Today, we heard from tom amr, and mike johnson. I ou note, they are both members of former House SpeakerKevin Mccarthys leadership team. Mccarthy, by the way, already endorsing emmer. You see him at there on the screen. Hes the guy o unts the republican votes, now we try to round them up for himself. No matter whic candidate you think will win the candidate for a monday night, they have a very steep hill to climb to get to that magic number, 2 17 on the house floor. This conference, as we watch their paralysis over the last 18 days or so, as been getting angry, or more bitter with what another, yesterday after that Conference Meeting where jordan was essentially dropped. There were some members, some allies of jordan, who were frustrated with members who stood strong against him. Youll also remember those threats and the Pressure Tactics that were being used by jordans allies, by conservative media, to try to get some of those holdouts on board. I spoke to some of them yesterday, they told me the exact reason they werent supporting jordan, was because of some of that pressure. Some of them even got Death Threats sent to them in the form of text messages. This house is really on break right now, over the weekend. Coming back on monday, into a very tense environment. There is a lot on the line. Weve been talking all hour, and last hour as well, to some of those Family Members of those hostages. Talking to some others as well on both sides of this conflict. With that supplemental funding requests that came from the white house to israel to ukraine as well, the senate will begin work on that. The house cant move anything unless they have the speaker, and right, now they are just on governable. Ungovernable. Julie tsirkin for us, thank, you it looks like the title of your book. Appreciate it, julie. Want to bring in now the host of simone, symone sanderstownsend. To talk more about this. Its a pretty good title, isnt it . Ungovernable, simone . I like it . I think julie has something in the works you gotta get your credit. It exactly, i gotta get my money lets talk Hakeem Jeffries for a moment. Telling moderate republicans, and attached to a tree, extremists come over to our side just a little bit if you want. They did one, they get rid of jim jordan. Were not going for that. Every time he went forward for a vote, he lost more and more votes. He was going the exact wrong direction. That being said, do you think theres gonna come a point in which some of these moderate publicans are going to try to come to the table with democrats to get a House Speaker across the finish line . If House Republicans cannot come to a consensus within their own caucus, yes. I think about this, yasmin, how way back when, mccarthy was the speaker. And folks are trying to keep the government, open he vowed he would not bring a clean, meaning nothing attached to it, except fighting the government, a clean cr to the floor. Continuing resolution. He ended up bringing a clean cr to the floor. More democrats vote for that Continuing Resolution than republicans. That is what brought us to this November 17th day, where Government Funding will again run out if the house and the senate dont do something soon. I think that were gonna end up here, again, if House Republicans cant get on there are ten people that are announced, i have my little sheet right here. I would like to know, not one woman on this list. It seems like the ladies of the Republican House caucus know is going on. Yeah, thats actually really good note. Amidst all this, you mentioned this pending deadline, looming deadline of November 17th, yet another possible Government Shutdown were looking at. Still dont have a House Speaker. The president trying to get this legislation across the board, when youre looking at two wars, happening overseas, both ukraine trying to defend self against russia, you also have aid for israel as well. None of which can get to the house without a speaker in place, im wondering, symone, as youre looking at big picture, how do you think voters are viewing all this. Who were they pointing the finger at . I think that voters collectively, yasmin, in general rules, look at this and say, this is the problem with congress. It seems as though theres only so much chaos. I do think thats why its important for House Democrats to be very specific, that this is not them, keeping the government from functioning, keeping the important funding, security, finding israel, ukraine taiwan, also the border from Going Forward. This is House Republicans, if they do not go through Great Lengths to make those distinctions, i think the voters will paint with a broad stroke brush. Theres Pew Research Center they tracked competence in, Government Confidence in everything from the white house to the senate, to the supreme court. In the most recent Research Notes that they only 4 of people have a high view and confidence in congress. That is not good. As the former strategist in me, you always want voters to be thinking specifically when they go to the ballot box. Not with these broad brushstrokes. Symone sanderstownsend, thank you, by the way make sure to catch someone every day at four pm, following this program. And on peacock as well, new episodes streaming every monday as well. Thank you, symone, have a great show today. Up next, everybody, the challenges ahead for israels impending ground war into gaza. The first, sky news Stewart Ramsey gets a firsthand look at the surge of violence now happening across the Israeli Occupied west bank. Another day of protest on the west bank, stone throwing youths in the Defense Forces squaring up for an exchange of rocks and bullets. The israeli Defense Forces are making it absolutely clear, to everyone, that they mean business. I stopped counting at nine people shot. Whats incredible, they know this is going to happen. An immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. Meanwhile, new reporting from nbc. Indicating that iran is not currently seeking direct war with the u. S. , as the Israel Hamas Wa hits the two week mark. Actions by iranian proxies in the region are raising the danger of miscalculation and an unintended war, according to congressional Defense Department sources. I want to bring in dan dilutes, from nbc news Investigative Unit to talk more about this. Your latest reporting here, dan, says, quote, this, on friday to recovered at u. S. Targets in baghdad, which a Defense Official said was consistent with actions by pro israeli iranian militias, in iraq. If iran is not looking for a fight, as its being reported, or a direct fight, the proxies certainly do not seem to be obliging. Thats right. He has been, those proxies are very much how iran rules. Thats how they operate. They attack their adversaries through militias in iraq and syria, or through hezbollah and lebanon, or through hamas. And they have what they consider some kind of deniability, or at least its not approvable their role. Its a way of making irans adversaries think twice about striking directly at iran. So, you see hezbollah and lebanon and hamas in these militias in syria and iraq, theyre using drones against u. S. Forces. You see them doing, that and its really a way to put pressure on the u. S. And israel. And our sources are telling us, its also a way to try to make israel think twice and maybe scale back the scope of this expected Ground Invasion into gaza. Thats the perception, thats the analysis of what iran is trying to do here. Dan de luce for us, appreciate it. Weve got Israeli Forces carrying out these live fire drills at these undisclosed locations, as its preparing for this next stage of the war. When that is, we dont necessarily know. The idf, amassing tanks, troops, near the fence border around gaza in anticipation of its pending Ground Invasion. Israel clearly stating its objective, a complete annihilation of hamas. I want to bring in mark a former cia intelligence officer. He served for 26 years in the intelligence community, an operational field of leadership assignments. Hes also Msnbc National Security adviser. Mark, thanks for joining us, appreciate it. I want to go back to some of the reporting we just got formed in the loose. You have been tweeting up a storm, and ive been watching your tweets go viral. I wanna talk to about some of it. You asked about 25 minutes ago, the media should be asking whether u. S. Military has not responded to the multiple iranian provocations, via their proxies that we are just reporting. Against u. S. Military bases in iraq and syria. Why do you think the u. S. Has not responded . Well, im glad someones reading my tweets, he has been. Thanks for mentioning that. Look, clearly, the u. S. Military in the Biden Administration is concerned about escalation. But the problem in the responding to the iranian provocations or what happens when one of these Drone Attacks against our bases in iraq or syria, what happens when it leads to the deaths of one, two, five, ten American Service men or women. So, there is a danger in not pushing back. You can see why they are reluctant to do it. At some point, and we have in the past, were gonna have to hit back at some of these iranian proxies. Dont you think there could cause an all out war between the United States and iran in the prospect of that is pretty harrowing, neither of which iranian government nor American Government want to get into . Well, we have to signal to the iranians they cant do this anymore. Again, because americans can get to get hurt. What i would imagine we will see, a proportionate attack. We had some of these bases of the iranian proxies. Again, in iraq or syria. That would signal to the iranians to cut it out. I think, at the end of the day, dance reporting is right. Perhaps iran does not want a wider escalation of a wider war with the u. S. But we cant be taking it on the chin with these repeated Drone Attacks. Were gonna do something to stop it. There is another post i want to read of yours. I want you to respond to. You said this, what many who call in israel to show restraint seem to miss, this, not like other routes are fighting, theres no going back to any accommodation with hamas. The barbarity of the attack leaves only one choice. They must dismantle the entire group, which necessitates a gaza incursion. Im glad that you put this out there. Because i want to couple that with some of what you have written when it comes to the intelligence failures, as to why october 7th happened in the first place. The attack by hamas, carried out on israelis. Killing over 1000 people, and taking 200 plus people hostage now being held in gaza. When you think about this possible Ground Incursion, and when and if this happens, how do you do it . Without killing many more innocent civilians, how do you do it with possibly killing 200 plus israelis that are being held hostage . Especially when it seems as if they dont have the Human Intelligence on the ground that you talk about in your piece. Well, he has been, i think the israeli certainly have pulled themselves up by the boot straps. Theyll be it in after action, theyll be investigating into what happened. Right now, the Israeli Intelligence community, people who are used to work with, i think are laser focused on several things. First, theyre gonna be, of course, looking for hamas targets. Israeli mid Terry Telegenic Gonna be looking on where the hamas operatives are, almost 10,000 in gaza city. Second, theyre gonna be working on finding the hostages. You make a very good point, this is gonna be bloody and difficult, its going to be the incursion will be subterranean urban warfare. I think that the idf are gonna take a lot of casualties, and while the israelis will try as best as possible to minimize civilian casualties, thats going to happen. These are enormous challenges for the israeli National Security establishment. Who really, as i noted in the piece i wrote in the messenger, that really had an almost spectacular intelligence failure. And not being able to stop, which in essence, w i 2000 man terrorist army from invading. Its quite remarkable. You actually write this in the messenger, Human Intelligence, or penetration of hamas seems to have been neglected. Do you think this is just a small piece of a much larger picture, and possibility of the difficulties that the Intelligence Agencies face in recruiting Human Intelligence, especially the middle east right now . Gaza was hard for shin bet, clearly after the israelis pulled out. They also have been good in the past, the famous documentary called the great grandson. How israel had record a high level penetration of hamas, who saved many lives i think one of the things in the after action are gonna be as follows was israel too dependent on signals intelligence. Intercept or tactical means. Such as sensors, and drones. That they that are recruiting a source. What does a source allow you to . Do it a twoway street, its a dynamic relationship, you send them in. You can task them, you can illicit information, they can come, back they can get themselves deeper into the group. The idea they didnt have any sources in there, i think is pretty concerning. Well find out, i think now, clearly, israel has arrested, theyve captured a number of hamas operatives. I think theyre gonna be getting some intelligence from battlefield interrogations. So, i see them Getting Better and Getting Better quickly. Theres no doubt, it was a pretty spectacular tequila filler before. Something that amazingly enough, if you think about, it one source, one reliable vetted sources, couldve stopped all of this. Thats quite something to ponder. Mark polymeropoulos, thank you, mark, as always. Appreciate. Still ahead, everybody, the new illinois home town, the First American hostages freed by hamas are feeling as they await a must chant is a painted reunion. Now, what we know is that they have been visiting family in the south of israel, in a kibbutz. They were then taken hostage, and of course, then came that remarkable news of the release yesterday. The question of when we might see them back in the United States, one of our experts pointed out, yasmin, Israeli Security services, in particular, the shin bet will likely want to be talking to them about their time as hostages, and see what kind of intelligence can be taken from their experience. Hopefully, it can lead to further releases. Of course, were talking about dozens of people that are still reportedly being held hostage in gaza right now, he has been .
