People have been killed in israel, in addition to 3500 wounded. In gaza, weldon and 9200 injured. And according to the state department, 29 americans have also been killed while 15 remain with missing. Now, israel promises a new phase of the war is coming. Hours ago, Prime Minister netanyahu met with his Emergency Cabinet and vowed to demolish hamas. The Israeli Defense forces said yesterday it is preparing to strike from air, sea, and land. Israeli troops and tanks have been amassing on the border with gaza for days. More than 360,000 Military Reservists have been mobilized, which for context, is more than the total number of u. S. Forces in the reserves. The big question, or one of the big questions, is when. Is it hours, or days, or longer before the Ground Offensive begins . We learned more about the strategy overnight, with three senior Israeli Military officials telling the New York Times that Tens Of Thousands of soldiers have been ordered to capture of gaza city, and destroy the enclaves currently there. In addition, the times reports that Tens Of Thousands of hamas gunman are thought to have entrenched themselves and hundreds of miles of underground tunnels and bunkers beneath gaza city. Israels Ground Offensive is further complicated by the fact that there are also about 150 hostages currently held by hamas in gaza. While israel has agreed to Prisoner Swaps in the past, the head of Israels National Security council appeared to take that option off the table. Saying, israel will not hold negotiations with an enemy that we have vowed to wipe from the face of the earth. That means a Military Operation might be the only option for bringing them home. And then theres the question of the impact on the more than 2 Million People living in gaza. Ahead of what it will likely be a brutal bloody Ground Offensive. Israel has ordered more than 1 Million People to leave their homes and evacuate to the south. U. N. Warns that this could be a humanitarian catastrophe. Earlier today, National Security adviser Jake Sullivan said that hes been informed by his israeli counterpart that theyve turned the water pipes back on in southern gaza. But there is no power, no food, fuel and medical supplies are running out, the head of gazas largest hospital says that it is becoming a mass shelter, with 35,000 people seeking refuge inside. And the population that can leave face and nearly impossible choice. Scramble to flee to the south, which leaves many with no guarantee of safety or survival, or stay in their homes and risked death. This morning, we learned the u. S. Embassy in israel is offering americans living in israel evacuation on a ship to cyprus tomorrow morning. But for the up to 600 americans in gaza, the Border Crossing between egypt and israel remains closed, despite being told yesterday an agreement had been reached to let them through. The remaining questions about what leverage the United States has to get that border open. Secretary of state Antony Blinken is in cairo today, and is working to get egypt to open the crossing so civilians can leave. This is all a part of a worldwide trip for blinken across the middle east, as u. N. Officials seek humanitarian assistance for refugees and do everything in their power to contain this conflict. Because even as we all watched from the beginning of a Ground Offensive, that is far from the. And in many ways, it could be just the beginning of this conflict. Irans Foreign Minister said if the Operation Into Gaza continues, iran cannot remain a spectator. To that and, the pentagon ordered a second Carrier Strike group and fighter jets to the region. Not to join the fighting, but you sent the message of deterrence to iran and its proxies in the region, like the terrorist Group Hezbollah in lebanon, where weve seen scrimmage is over the border. A major objective for Secretary Blinken, as he speaks with leaders across the region in the coming days, is to contain this conflict. And to make sure the violence between israel and gaza doesnt spread wider. Joining me now is National Security adviser Jake Sullivan. Jake, thank you for taking the time this afternoon. I know how busy and heartbreaking the last week has been in the white house. I just want to start with a timeline here. Were still in bracing for a full scale Ground Offensive, were waiting for updates from the israelis. What is your expectation in the white house right now . Is it hours, days, could it be further away from the . First, thanks for having me on. To your question, ill let the Israeli Defense forces, the idf make any announcements or statements they want to make with respect to the next phase of their Military Operation. Characterize it from here, but we are of course in daily, hourly contact with our israeli counterparts to learn more. But its not my place to show that publicly. Theres still more than 150 hostages held by hamas, some of them americans. How concerned are you about their safety, once a Ground Offensive launches . We are concerned. Were concerned about their safety, even now, because theyre in the hands of brutal and vicious terrorists. And we are doing everything in our power to secure the release of the american hostages, of all the hostages present. And biden has sent Hostage Experts to coordinate with the israeli counterparts on recovery efforts. Were working through third countries on potential avenues for their release, and i need to be cautious about how much more i say in that regard, because we are pursuing a number of different pathways. But youll understand that we need to keep those discreet, in hopes that we, actually can achieve the safe release of americans and others, but the president has no higher priority than to make this happen. Theres only these even when there is not updates being given. Your counterpart, your israeli counterpart, did say this week that there will be no negotiations over hostages. I know Secretary Blinken is out talking to countries that talk to hamas. If israel says the channel is closed, could there still be a negotiation, and diplomatic path . Like i said, i have to be cautious about how i discuss our conversations, both with israel and with third countries with respect to avenues to secure the release of hostages. And im not going to characterize israels position or how it will proceed. I will only say this. We are leaving no stone unturned in trying to figure out a way to get the americans and all of the other hostages back safely. Were not going to rest until we have taken every conceivable effort to make that happen. And if we have anything further to update you on, we will of course do so. In the meantime, were going to keep our heads down and keep working at it. The president spoke with Prime Minister netanyahu yesterday, hes obviously been in very regular contact with him. There were reports this morning in the New York Times that israel has a specific plan to take gaza city, and destroy hamas leaders. What is your understanding of what the ultimate goal or end goal is, as theyre moving forward with this Ground Offensive . Their goal is a safe and secure democratic and Jewish State Of Israel that is not subject to constant, brutal, vicious Terror Attack from the south or the north, or the west, or anywhere else. More immediately, it is to try to eliminate the Terrorist Infrastructure of hamas, and to take out the leaders of hamas so that they no longer represent a threat to israel or to the jewish people. Now, there are that more immediate operational objectives that go into the Military Planning for how to get there. But fundamentally, the goal is to illuminate the threat that hamas poses to the state of israel. And they are undertaking a Military Campaign to make that happen. Hamas, of course, would not exist without iran. Do you think that they can be defeated, militarily, by a militarily offensive into gaza . Youre right. Iran, as we have said from the beginning, is complicit in these attacks, because for years it has funded, trained, supported hamas and has, as recently as yesterday, gone out publicly, having met with hamas leaders and praised what they have done. This horrific, barbaric set of attacks that went after women and children and babies. And this is absolutely unconscionable for any nation to take a stand on behalf of this kind of slaughter. We believe that israel can be successful in dealing with something being blown to hamas. Theyre working on that as we speak, and were supporting that. Because israel has not only a right to defend itself, but a duty to defend itself against this kind of terrorism. As you know, the United Nations has said, and other Health Organizations have said that the evacuation that israel has count four from Northern Gaza is basically impossible. It would pose a significant humanitarian risk. The other issue, of course, as you know very well, is the fear of people there. Many of whom are refugees themselves, they wont be able to return. Are there any assurances the United States has asked for, from israel, that will be able to return to Northern Gaza after the offensive . Well, we are in daily, indeed as i said before, hourly contact with the israelis, with the United Nations, with the egyptians, with the jordanians, in ensuring that there are some and when they go there, that they have access to the basic needs they have. A food, of water, of medicine, of shelter. Were going to keep working actively, aggressively on that. Secretary blinken has been in the region, he was in egypt today working on this issue, as well as consulting on a range of other matters to. When it comes to the question of people actually leaving gaza, as opposed to going to safe places in gaza, we have an active conversation happening with regional partners, we have an active conversation happening with the israelis. Were not at the point yet for seeking particular assurances of one kind or the other. What i will say is that ultimately, we need safe places for people to go, and then of course civilians in gaza deserve the right to return to their homes. So, thats not a question for us. But the conversation is still in the stage of working out where a safe area can be established, and how we can ensure that that safe area is fully stocked with the humanitarian supplies. Secretary blinken, he is in egypt at this point. Yesterday we saw reports that the Rafah Crossing was not open, even though there was an expectation that it would be. Is their leverage, such as military aid or assistance that the United States would be willing to use in order to get that crossing open . The u. S. Is going to work around the clock until american citizens who live in gaza are able to leave gaza, or able to get safe passage out through that Border Crossing, from gaza into egypt. And i dont think weve reached the point where we have to make threats of the kind i think you are implying. We are going to continue to work it, and we have a collaborative conversation going with the israelis and with the egyptians, and now its a matter of just being able to execute a game plan to actually move the american citizens across that border. There has been the president has repeated many times, as a view, as of other National Security officials that the u. S. Is going to offer any support israel needs, in terms of assistance, military equipment, i know youve sent troops on the ground. Is it possible that u. S. Forces could be involved in training in any capacity . Or is that something that remains on the table, as a possibility. Well, the Ground Offensive and the aerial campaign and the other steps that the israelis have been discussing, both publicly and privately, that involves israeli forces, not american forces. And we dont expect that to change as they continue to go after the hamas Terrorist Infrastructure. And the United States, the form of support that we are providing, is to get them the capabilities they need, including ammunition, as well as interceptors for their iron dome systems, so that they can continue to protect their cities against hamas rocket attacks falling down on civilian areas. So that is where our support is focused at this time. I cant speak to every conceivable, hypothetical, but i will say that the israeli operation being contemplated is just that. An operation being conducted by israeli forces, not by american forces. Before i let you go, i want to ask you. Weve seen photos and video of President Biden speaking to the families of american hostages and gaza. Ive been in the room for emotional conversations hes had, youve been in the room for money. Just on a personal level, what was that like, being in the room for that . It was hard to sit and listen to people who are enduring the most unimaginable pain, the pain of not knowing where their loved ones. What is happening to them. And it was just an absolutely gut wrenching, Heart Wrenching experience. One that has been difficult for me to tell other people about. And President Biden, he spent more than an hour and a half on the call with those families, listening to them, comforting them, sharing his own stories. And honestly, it was one of the most remarkable displays ive seen of his leadership, his compassion at a moment of just absolute torture for these families. And it drove home for me that this isnt about policy or strategy. This is about people, and this conflict, this brutal Terrorist Attack that we saw, it ultimately comes down to the people that whose lives that it has shattered, and were going to do everything we can to ensure this kind of thing cannot happen again. Jake sullivan, thank you for your service. Thank you for your heart, as you work on all of these challenging issues, and thank you for being with us this afternoon. Up next, ill speak with Lieutenant Colonel from the Israeli Defense forces about their plans for launching a Ground Offensive in gaza, while they try to gather intelligence on hostages. Border ahead of its current offensive. Secretary of state Antony Blinken is set to return to israel tomorrow. Joining me now is Idf Spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel hatred learner. Colonel lerner, thank you for joining me this afternoon. I wanted to start with some reporting in the New York Times which is citing three Israeli Military officials who say the military is preparing to invade the gaza strip in the coming days with Tens Of Thousands of soldiers ordered to capture specifically gaza city and destroy hamas leadership is that an accurate portrayal of the goal . The idf is currently preparing for to be ready for the first fraction overseen by the government, to continue our mission now to destroy hamas, remove them from conducting terrorist activities, and using the gaza strip as a Staging Ground for brutal massacres in the state of israel. Hamas has opened this war, we are going to win it. In the last few minutes, colonel, we got reporting the idea of fighter jets are currently striking hezbollah Military Infrastructure in lebanon. Theres obviously been skirmishes on the border over the last few days. Can you confirm that for, us and what, if anything, is about the fighting with israel right now which is happening simultaneously. I wasnt updated as we were coming in, again, throughout the last several days, we had several skirmishes on the border, exchanges with terrorists launching different types of attacks, including anti tank guided missiles against Military Submissions this morning, even causing casualties, and indeed, there is a severe concern. So there is a distinct possibility. We did return fire following various attacked state, but i am not aware, as we said, about the Strike Fighter jets at this time. Maybe during this as well, and i will let you know. Theres also been reporting about kind of a timeline of attempts to gather intelligence on the location of hostages, perhaps leading to a delay in the operation moving forward. Can you tell us or give us any update about those operations, if youve been able to identify the locations of hostages, or had any success in that effort at this point . Jen, the 126 hostages that weve identified perhaps maybe even more but there are still people unaccounted for and their wellbeing is of course for concern in our top priority. Hamas is responsible for their mendacious now, and they need to bring it immediately. Our efforts are efforts to bring him home our best of out of the strains of the viewers despite obviously the curiosity, to know what is going on here, we have to be not want to causing any damage that dont look good and dont undermine people being returned home. Im certainly familiar with a sensitivities as well. I think so many people and whether theyre alive. Do you have any sense of how many hostages are alive at this point, even if you cant get into more details about your efforts . I cant delve into details, i can say that we are concerned. I can say that hamas is accountable for their wellbeing. I can say that we are doing everything we can to bring them home. But that is basically where i would like to leave it, just out of respect for the families that are sitting around, perhaps watching us. We need to leave it to the professionals without trying to bring them home. As you are preparing this Ground Offensive, there is of course, a humanitarian Crisis Brewing in gaza. There are reports of a lack of fuel, the reports this morning of the resumption of water supply. Being provided, which is of course a good sign. But are their discussions of providing fuel and food to the people there . I think the basic essential means are actually available to the people in gaza. I think the most important thing now is that people evacuated the Northern Areas and head down south towards the south and beyond western gaza, the weapons to separate the north from south. That would actually enable us to continue to differentiate between the non combatants, the civilians of gaza, and hamas, the Terrorist Organization. This organization has set up its hub, its control positions, its fortress of terrorism in the heart of gaza city. And that for us means that we need to take them out. We need to destroy those capabilities. We need to seek out and destroy the beers from right at the top, he was the Prime Minister of hamas, affecting the mastermind of the massacre of october 7th. And intend on doing that, dismantling the entire system of hamas from all the way the top, down to the terrorists that breach and penetrated our border, and butchered the babies in their beds. Just overnight, we targeted and killed bin laden kid rock, who was one of those terrorist from the Special Forces of hamas, the multiple forces, and what we did was we targeted him. He was actually involved in Infiltrating Kibbutz near him. So we have good intelligence, we have good operational capabilities, we are gathering even more intelligence from the gopro cameras that were found on their bodies, because they are so proud of the massacres and butchering that they are doing. They filmed themselves doing everything. So we have lots of information, lots of intelligence, and lots of leads in order to destroy hamas and their capabilities. This Terrorist Organization has no regard for human life. Israeli, or palestinian. All of their assets are deeply embedded within the civilian arena, and so, indeed, any military, like the u. S. , operating in the urban arena, we are doing, just like the u. S. , trying to differentiate, identify the targets, and kill the terrorists that have perpetrated this act. Hamas needs to be banished from the realm of existence. Colonel, even as hamas is of course horrific Terrorist Organization, i think everybody should be stating that there is a humanitarian Crisis Brewing in gaza. If people dont have food, they will have what, or maybe they have more water now, they have nowhere to go. Will have what, or if they mof gaza, what happens then . Will they be guaranteed to be able to be able to come back to their homes . Will there be a humanitarian corridor provided . Are there any other steps that are here in the process of taking to help civilians there . We are focused on destroying hamas at this time. And i would say, yes. Weve already said that once we complete our mission, people be able to return home. But i would say what is horn port at this time is that people actually go down south. Because hamas, they actually tried to prevent that from happening. They put roadblocks trying to physically prevent people from going down south to the south of the gaza strip. They put out messages trying to encourage people to stay home, and not do whats best for their wellbeing. So we are focused on that, and we are open to things operate within the gaza strip, and yes, they are facilitating, and they would encourage them to be part of the mission of evacuating civilians, noncombatants from the north gaza strip to the south. Theyre all the needs that exist, shelter, food, water, as you pointed out, they exist in the south. There is relative safety there. So we can conduct our operations, and differentiate between hamas and combatants. Lieutenant colonel peter lerner, i think its worth restating that there are more than 2 Million People there who are not a part of hamas, innocent civilians who are struggling to survive. I appreciate you joining here this afternoon. Americans watching this war play out without any way to reach the relatives, there is on a magic double agony. Especially for those who still have family in the region and are getting heartbreaking updates. One of them is dr. Fani judah, an american physician awardwinning poet. He says hes already lost dozens of relatives in the air strikes over the last week. Fati judah joins me now. If audio, i want to first offer my deepest condolences for the loss youve experienced. And ask you how you are holding up, and if youve heard any updates from Family Members in the last day or so . Thank you. No updates, really. I think things are going to get news will become scarce or as there is a full siege on reliably, and people are flooding. Each others spaces because they are moving to safer places from the north of gaza, south, from other bombed places south, and, yet they are still being bombed in those places. I really think that it is phenomenal that this continues in u. S. Media, even though you are giving the space, and i thank you. That the Idf Spokesperson before me speaks with a straight face, literally says, gazans have all they need. You know, i would like to, if you allow me, to say one thing here to start this. I would like to salute all the palestinian women in the world. Wherever they are, muslim, christian, whether we are hijab or not, whether we are secular or not. I want to salute their sisters in south africa and all over the world. I want to salute my two my two oldest aunts who live in raw, who both have dementia. Their kids joke with them and they think that they are reliving the expulsion days of 1948. 75 years on. Now, i want to salute my mother who was born in a tent in 1948. Under falling bombs. People need to understand what that means, what kind of memory this is for people. I also want to salute my wife, whose childhood was devastated during israels invasion of lebanon in 1982. Which is a war that was also sanctioned by the u. S. Administration for those who must remember. How many babies were born today in gaza . We forget the smallest things. How many babies were born yesterday . I know there are 500 children killed in gaza last week, but there is still something born. When life of those kids have . One out of five children palestine, mostly of course in gaza, do not make it to the age of five. The gray, black, abolitionist calls in her research, state sanctioned premature death. Do we speak about these things . I want to have you are today, i think its important to speak about these things, and to hear about the history, and hear about people experiencing on the ground. Its a young population as well, as you reference. Tell me more, there is a little visibility that people have in the u. S. Audience of what the conditions are on the ground. What is it like for people here now, what are they experiencing . I want to ask you, i dont want to act so tragic about a situation that is beyond the wars, the pictures are there. Why are they not on the u. S. Media . You know, im a father. And they talk about bullying and that kids grow up, talk about bullying if physically in schools, and what have you. Why is this not what palestinians indoor in the u. S. When their u. S. Accounts are canceled, or god knows where else on social media, or the lack of visibility that we had even in the news. Theyre available, im sure watching here another news, why cant other americans get them. Why do they have to give us just one palestinian who is grieving so that the message comes across. Who of us, jen, who of us knows what it is like to lose everything in a second . Of course, many of us do, yes, all across the world. But really, to have entire population lose their security, shelter, and ideal survival. There is an Expression Arabic called, to die in a group, to diana collectivism mercy. This is kind of an anthropological moment. People come up with proverbs, humans can be proverbs from these kind of experiences from a small collective. But to get to the point in the 20th century, or one actually lives the meaning of those words, that the palestinians, what they experienced as one, that my grief is not individual, that is a collected. We are dealing with this notion of a collected death, not a collective punishment. This is not collective punishment. This is collective death. I want to salute the jewish people who went to demonstrate against the palestinian genocide as they called it yesterday in new york. Because it is an attritional that aside. And i wish them, i wish they grow a number, i wish them to grow and love as they had. We want to have you want, because you dont hear about, it would want to show the photos, and we dont have more conversations about what is happening in gaza right now. We dont want that to be talked over a walked over. Thats where we will have this discussion. Little should we know that you wish the American People would know . About the conditions on the ground, but what you are experiencing, about your loved ones are experiencing. I think the people should know that aid workers are being targeted by israeli army. Including physicians, ambulance drivers, hospitals, those who want to move the rubble in search for the dead. The palestinians cannot bury their dead, nor can they count them now. I want them to know that i want to be there is no shame in saying this. There are dogs in gaza. There are donkeys. There are cats. My dog thing has diabetes and gets his insulin. When are the diabetics in gaza getting their insulin . Where is the medical community in america . Where is our when we recognize that we have not seen the palestinians as equal human beings for decades. When will the stop . For the last few months, American Media has been so concerned about the most rightwing government. Some have come out and said, i will now call my israeli friends, this is apartheid. Others of, said its fascist. And theres been all these political pushback, from American Media, from Jewish American institutions, and suddenly, over one night, we are willing to trust the fabricated lies, shake hands with them in an instant, where the American Administration speak the language that sanctions. You can say what you want about hamas, weve said it before it never stops. We have said it about nonviolent movements in the west bank also. I dont understand, when will we stop, and just have equal humanly for palestinians, is all say it again. Ive said it before. Unthinkable for those who are pro israel blindly, scientists thinking, supporters. Equally humanity is unthinkable. If we truly begin from that standpoint, that palestinian lives are equal to israeli lives peaceful have been in a week. But it is unthinkable. And weve construct so much language, so much language around the diffusion of the possibility that the American Society receives. The palestinians as equal human beings, and just walks out of our mind, dissipates, if it ever enters it. This is why were having this conversation. We want people to see people as equal humans, and as humans across the world to matter what they live, and what theyre experiencing. It also has the tough questions but humanitarian situation on the ground. Thank you for being with us, thank you for sharing your Heart And Soul with us, im sure its not easy to do. Thank you so much for your time today. I appreciate it. Joining me now is the form United States ambassador to israel, tom nides. It is great to see, you ambassador. I know that you are the former ambassador, and you will spend time working around the world, but it is still incredibly hard to hear. And i should, here and listen to it. What people are going through it in gaza. So how do you digest that, your standpoint . How can you not . You hear the voices of human beings, kids, palestinian lives or any other life without question. None of us should in anyway question that. I think its important people understand how we got there, and i think, how can i disagree with the idea of the tragedy is gonna happen in gaza. Hamas knows exactly what theyre doing. They want this to happen. Think about this for a minute. The actions of hamas basically were situation where every is really, committed 50 million americans lost someone in the twin towers. That is what israel is going through. It is a grieving, they havent buried their dead yet. This is what they are going through. The idea that hamas really cares about the palestinians in gaza . Theyre telling us to leave, they knew it was going to happen here, they knew the reaction of israels part. They should know the reaction, and they dont care. And listen, it breaks my heart. These are innocent people, every life is important. But make no mistake how we got there. Israel did not do this without being provoked, not only provoked, the worst tragedy in the history of the state of israel, literally, without question, ive been on the phone for the last five days talking about not only my former colleagues, friends who have lost their kids, got killed in the concert, who are now kidnapped. It is the whole country, and i can still be sympathetic, i can still worry, i can still demand a humanitarian resource to be put into southern gaza, over the bridge, getting people out, get them in from Northern Gaza. Im there for that purpose of expressing that. But we should not forget how we got there. I think its such an important reminder as well, its hard for people to understand this, who havent spent time in the region. We have been there 25 times if not more, israel the size of new jersey. Gaza is the size of philadelphia. I think that is the time to spent 70 miles apart, if you drive between them. This is a relatively small place, what do you think the people, your friends there, the people in the government you still talk to, what do you think they want to see happen here . In the coming days . They want to live in a secure place. They do not want to have 280 kids get slaughtered at a continent. Those kids that were there, theres a little kids, theyre the peacemakers. They went there for the sole purpose of enjoying themselves. These are not hostile people that were hostile to the case of palestinians. They want this hamas, terrorist, these are jihadists. This is hamass goal to destructed israel. Israel wants peace. They dont to sit around and be embalm shelters. I sat when i was there multiple times when hamas was sending rockets to israel in tel aviv. I watched this. Someone who spent a lot of time trying to help the palestinians, both in the west bank and in gaza. And i care deeply about what is going on. But make no mistake. The country, hamas has done something that has not happened since 1948. The countrys united. Sinc dont underestimate the power of the emotional connection that israel has while protecting themselves. Before that, hugos conversation is way too short, i just went along with our long guest because of the conversation. But what is his first order of business when it hits the ground . To be a messenger of the president. One thing that you and i, or i believe, is that this has been one of President Bidens best moments. Because he stood up for the important security of the state of israel. He also is gonna step for humanity, of what is going on. So you know him as probably even better than i. Because he cares deeply about them, you heard that and Jake Sullivans voice, his eyes, we talked about the families. The present was talking to in the oval office. But we are going to push as hard as we can to save lives, to get rid of hamas, where is collectively with jacks job to be the president United States, it is an easy person to recommend in the state of israel. We have to take a quick break, but i want you to stay right where you are, we will keep talking on the other side. So i want to ask you a little bit about the political dynamics on the ground. Because if we were just discussing, the people of israel are discussing, it wouldnt know somebody whos been impacted here, Prime Minister netanyahu is also not very popular. In israel. And theyre a lot of people in recent polls who blame him. How do you think that impacts his response here, or does it . First of all, we want to have a lot of temper commissions, investigations, for what they are getting a workout with my friend, who is part of that work out, and theyve pushed some of the most extreme people out of that work, making decision. And the politics of this will play out, and ultimately, we are not talking about that. That is former president lapid, and if there is no question that there is gonna be a lot of unfits emanations and exist occasions and what fundamentally happened. People be held accountable, we will see ultimately through that. But right now its not the time. Right now is to get those hostages out, protect those borders and try to do as President Biden is to make sure that hezbollah and iran does not get involved. Because and thats what needs to be focused on, that can be planted overtime. Youve been in so many of these rooms having a private negotiations, we are the results of them about two paragraphs long, and the conversations are hours long. I want to ask you about the hostages, because, ive experienced this as well. You dont say a lot publicly, because that can always put at risk bringing them back. But, israeli fischels have said the last 24 hours that they are not going to negotiate with hamas. U. S. Officials say they are willing to negotiate. Is that a diplomatic path, here is more like the Military Path trying to get this . Jen, as i said Jake Sullivan said, listen. The highest priority for this administration, not only to help get the americans out, but to help get the israelis out as well. So from all the resources, it be negotiation, military, intelligence gathering, whatever it takes, these are little kids, these are old people, young people, soldiers. This is insane what these people have done and are using them as human shields, which im sure to put them in the tunnels. So all the means available to United States, egypt, the emiratis, the saudis, the qataris. Whatever it takes, we should use all of the resources to try to do these people out. I think that is what they will do. He also spent quite a bit of time at the state department, a very high will there as well, Secretary Of State tony blinken is on a world when High Wire Act there through the middle east, trying to accomplish, in his words, getting the hostages home, supporting israel, and addressing the humanitarian crisis. What is a need to accomplish, or what are his goals on a trip like this . There is probably no person who is better positioned to do what is going on right now than tony blinken. You know him very well, i dont very well. s ability to have an ability beautifully needs, to hes the right person at the right time in this job, without question of the president s here, his job hears communicate exactly what President Biden wanted, which is what he said. We have israels back, do not go around and think that we have a price to pay. At the same time, work on the compassion part of this, your guest said to make sure that the humanitarian corridors are open. Young kids and adults have the ability to survive this. Because that is important. Because there is the ability to do both, because President Biden has done such a good job of setting the table, have the secretary of the house to make sure we get the hostages back, we protect the state of israel, and we make sure the humanitarian quarters are hoping to protect innocent, Innocent Gazis and, by the way, 97 of those people are innocent, and they should not be put in harms way as well. So much to watch, including Secretary Of State, tony blinken, returning to israel tomorrow. Obviously, we are all waiting for the Ground Defensive to start.
