MSK's Wes Lee suffered a legitimate broken hand at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day last month.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Lee suffered a broken hand on one of his dives during the match where MSK (Lee & Nash Carter) defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) in the men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finals at TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
MSK were set to challenge for Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch's NXT Tag Team titles on NXT this Wednesday, but that match won't be taking place on the episode due to Lee's injury. There was a backstage segment on last week's NXT where The Grizzled Young Veterans attacked MSK. Gibson then cut a promo later in the show saying that Lee suffered a broken hand when The Grizzled Young Veterans used a steel chair during the attack. Drake claimed that The Grizzled Young Veterans had been given a "hefty fine" for attacking MSK.
