MPs raise questions on corporal punishment and teacher recourse under Bela Bill

Corporal punishment, which the Department of Basic Education defined to MPs as any punishment that was demeaning to pupils, is abolished under the contentious Basic Education Laws Amendment (Bela) Bill.
