ALLIANCE Volunteers at the University of Mount Union are making cards and sets of coasters for health care workers in Alliance this month to thank them for their work during the pandemic.
Abby Schroeder, director of the Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement at Mount Union, said students, faculty and staff participating in the service project will fill roughly 1,200 appreciation bags by the end of the month.
"We offer two service projects a month," she said. "As you can imagine, this year those projects look a little bit different. We had to be pretty creative and offer more things on campus."
