Mount Pleasant scores 20 unanswered to beat East Rowan

Concord, N.C. — Mount Pleasant fell behind East Rowan by two scores on Saturday afternoon, but the Tigers mounted a comeback, scoring 20-unanswered points en route to a 20-14 win at Central Cabarrus High School.
Sammy Pinckney was hard to stop in the first half. The East Rowan senior put the Mustangs in scoring position with a 14-yard run down to the 1-yard line late in the first quarter. Two plays later, Pinckney ran into the end zone to put East Rowan up 7-0 with 2:57 left.
