Ash rained down on the Sicilian town of Zafferana Etnea on Sunday, February 28, as Mount Etna’s southeast crater erupted. This footage, shot by Salvatore Palermo, shows the ash falling as he drives through the streets. Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology reported an eruption early on Sunday morning.
