Mother who left handgun unattended to serve 5 years

Teirra Shanae Poindexter's son used the gun to kill her boyfriend, whom Poindexter said had been physically abusing her. The judge said Poindexter herself was solely responsible for the death of Carlos Andre Jones, not her son.
