With graduation just around the corner, most high schools on Maui are planning in-person ceremonies, while Lanai and Molokai high schools are still mulling plans, according to the state Department of Education.
The DOE announced graduation dates for schools across Hawaii on Monday, with alternate ceremonies and guest limits continuing for a second year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dates, locations and formats for Maui County schools are as follows:
• King Kekaulike High, May 20, school stadium, in person with limited guests and vehicles, 220 participating seniors.
• Baldwin High, May 21, War Memorial Stadium, in person with virtual ceremony, 290 participating seniors.
