The 22-year-old joined the Pack following three seasons at Cornell, and during that time he posted a line of 34-50-84 in 98 games (0.86 P/GP). The Pack used Barron as a winger to start the season, and shifted him to center later on in the season. It will be interesting to see which position he plays in New York, but in any case he should be in the lineup over Brett Howden.
Reunanen made his NHL debut on March 15 vs. the Philadelphia Flyers, and tallied an assist while skating 8:57 over the course of 14 shifts. Like Barron, Reunanen had a strong rookie season with the Pack, posting a line of 4-13-17 in 21 games which was fourth in team scoring, and first among Hartford defenseman. Ideally he’ll take Libor Hajek’s spot, if Jacob Trouba’s unable to return, but we will ultimately see what happens. There’s also the chance Ryan Lindgren won’t play following his collision with a stanchion during Thursday’s game, but we’ll likely find out soon enough.
