This week’s shipment of Pfizer has arrived in Saskatchewan with over 31,500 doses and the Moderna vaccine is expected today (Thurs) with almost 19,000 doses. The vaccination booking system opens to those age 40 and up tomorrow, after lowering to 42 on Wednesday. In the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, it remains at 30 and over.
There are 205 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, along with 244 recoveries and a person in the 80 and over age group from the Northwest has died.
The number of variants identified in the province has risen by 128, and is now sitting at 6,572. The Regina zone is reporting an increase of 48 variant cases, for a total of 3,632. The Saskatoon zone has had an increase of 19 variant cases for a total of 730.
