New figures from the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety show most inmates at the province’s adult jails have received at least their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Since vaccinations began earlier this spring, 1,323 inmates at the Regina (395), Saskatoon (555), Prince Albert (220) and Pine Grove (153) correctional centres have been vaccinated as of Friday. The most recent inmate population number for those four facilities, on May 28, was 1,797.
