More home construction allowed near new CMCSS schools site

More substantial home construction is likely destined for an area of Montgomery County that is simultaneously gaining new public schools.
The Montgomery County Commission on Monday night approved the property rezoning application of Gordon Seay, from AG Agricultural District to R-1 Single-Family Residential District.
Seay has said the rezoning will pave the way for "nice homes" in the same area where the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System is building new schools and other residential construction is already happening.
The newly-rezoned site encompasses 138.3 acres, on the south frontage of Buck Road, 800 feet east of the south intersection of Buck and Kirkwood roads.
