A couple of week’s ago Councillor Dan Belisle voiced his concern about the safety in the area of the yellow bars and asked that a report be brought to council to further discuss the matter.
Council had the chance to review a preliminary report on that issue at their last meeting.

There were four components to the request: a speed reduction from 40 kms to 30kms, directing staff to look at modest retaining wall to replace the yellow bars, installation of yield signs giving right a way to transports utilizing that area of the road and council budget for the expansion of the sidewalks on this stretch of road to enhance pedestrian safety.
