More Access To Fishing And Kayaking In The Works At Ypsilanti's Frog Island Park

There is a canoe and kayak put-in at Ypsi's Frog Island.  You may not know about it because it's inaccessible.  The Frog Island Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant may change that. 
Bonnie Wessler is the Project Manager for the City of Ypsilanti presenting the grant proposal at this week's City Council meeting.  It would provide significant alterations to Frog Island.
 
"What we're planning to do with this grant is to take a good hard look at that north end of the park, make the parking lot accessible from the pathway, and bring a lot of visibility to that canoe and kayak put-in and, perhaps, make that acceptable and universally designed as well, so that more people can enjoy it."
