CALGARY - The Montreal Canadiens didn't let the Flames gain more ground on them with a 2-1 win Monday in Calgary.
Tyler Toffoli scored the game-winner late in the second period for his fourth goal in as many games, and his team-leading 25th of the season.
Montreal opened up a six-point gap on Calgary, which is chasing the Canadiens for the fourth and final playoff berth in the North Division. Montreal has a game in hand on the Flames.
