Montgomery County records 29 new coronavirus cases, no new deaths in daily report

NORRISTOWN — The downward trajectory of new coronavirus infections continued in Montgomery County on Thursday as health officials reported less than 30 new positive cases, a decline in hospitalizations and no new deaths.
The 29 daily new positive COVID-19 cases reported in the county on Thursday brought the county’s total number of positive cases to 58,880 since March 7, 2020, when the first two cases of the virus were identified in the county, according to the county’s COVID-19 online dashboard.
Thursday marked the twentieth consecutive day that the daily new cases of COVID-19 in the county fell below 100.

As of Thursday, the 14-day average of daily positive COVID-19 cases had fallen to 39.5 which was a decrease from the 14-day average of 83.7 cases reported on May 14.
