Montco couple ‘an example of what love means,’ says archbishop
Karen and Michael Sloane of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Limerick display their wedding picture with then-Father (now Archbishop) Nelson Pérez, who married them in 1990 following Michael's arduous recovery from a near-fatal car accident. Thirty years after he married them, Archbishop Nelson Pérez gave a long-overdue hug to a Montgomery County couple who almost didn’t make it to their own wedding.
