In a time when people are taking stock of their tolerance for isolation, one writer participating in Teton County Library's 2021 Mountain Story series will try to shed light on perhaps the ultimate hermit.
Author Michael Finkel will hold a Zoom talk at 12:15 p.m. Thursday called âSecrets from the Worldâs Ultimate Social Distancing Masterâ in which he will recount the story of Christopher Knight, who spent 27 years alone in the Maine woods, burglarizing homes for food, fuel and supplies.
Finkel said via email that Knight's actions and motivations have âa lot of relevance to the entire worldâs predicament during this time of global pandemic.â
