Montana added 169 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, and three more of its residents have died due to the virus.
The number of confirmed active cases in Montana rose to 1,087, according to the latest update to the state virus mapping and tracking website. The three deaths reported by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services brought the statewide death toll of the coronavirus pandemic to 1,574 people.
The Gallatin City-County Health Department announced Thursday that a man in his 70s died at a hospital April 18, with the health department receiving a death certificate this week attributing his death to COVID-19. Gallatin City-County Health Department Health Officer Matt Kelley sent the departmentâs condolences to the manâs friends and family in a press release. The virus has now killed a total of 62 Gallatin County residents.
