On
November 3, the second forum on cooperation between Mongolian and Russian
journalists kicked off under the theme ‘Friendly
neighbors-Conversation without borders’ at the Russian Center for Science and
Culture in Ulaanbaatar. The
forum is being co-organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in
Mongolia, the two countries’ journalists associations, the Rossotrudnichestvo
agency of Russia, and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in the
framework of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
between Mongolia and Russia. With
opening remarks by Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo
Representative Office in Mongolia, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in
Ulaanbaatar A.R.Bazarhandayev, the first day of the forum was
attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian
Federation to Mongolia I.K.Azizov, MP B.Tsogtbaatar, health, sports, and social
policy advisor to the President of Mongolia T.Munkhsaikhan, Acting President of
the Confederation
of Mongolian Journalists Z.Borgilmaa, Executive Director E.Bolortulga, and
representatives of the two countries’ journalists. At the
forum, Secretary-General of the Russian Union of Journalists, Head of the
International Department T.V.Timur, Head of the Press Council under the
President of the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation A.Sh.Meshkova,
and Dr. B.Naranbaatar made presentations on cooperation between the two
countries’ journalists. Representatives
of journalists at Russia’s ‘NTS Media Holding’, ‘Komsomolskaya pravda’ radio
and newspaper, ‘Rossiya segodnya’ center, ‘Rossiya’, ‘Tivikom’, ‘Tivisi’
channels, and TV and news websites of the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian
Federation, and Mongolia’s MONTSAME National News Agency, Mongolian National
Public Radio and Television, scholars and researchers of the National University
of Mongolia and the Mongolian National University of Education as well as
representatives of journalists from Orkhon and Zavkhan aimags are participating
in the forum.
During
the forum, exhibitions have been presented by some press and media organizations
of Mongolia such as the Mongolian National Public Radio and Television and the
United Association for Website Development of Mongolia.
