Money plan: Marion stimulus checks will fund necessities, not luxuries

"I'm using mine to move to Ocala," said Robert Florentino, 29, formerly of Connecticut.
Florentino has family here and is settling in the area. He plans to work with the state Department of Corrections as a correctional officer.
Robin Thomas, 54, of Ocala, works with Kindred at Home. She's going to use her stimulus funds on home improvements.
"Paint the interior," and possibly perform additional upgrades, she said.
Brenden Shipp, 18, said the money helped him purchase a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. Kristen Adkins, 27, said she will save her money, as will Davida Randolph, 46, and Erin Klein.
