Sophomore Julieth Nwosu of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team has earned both the Northeast-10 Conference Field Athlete of the Year and Field Rookie of the Year awards, as announced last week by the league office.
The accolades mark the fifth and sixth NE10 “of the Year” awards in the history of Franklin Pierce’s women’s program. Nwosu’s teammate, junior Paola Brena, has all the previous field awards, as she was selected as Field Rookie of the Year for both the 2018-19 indoor and 2019 outdoor seasons, as well as Field Athlete of the Year for the 2019-20 indoor campaign. On the track side, Katie Purves was Track Rookie of the Year for the 2017 outdoor season.
