Moberly school board approves FY22 budget

In lieu of reports of its strong financial operational structure and short-term outlook, the Moberly Public School District is taking great advantage and banking on the situation to not only enhance the educational opportunities of its students, but also reward district personnel in an effort to retain and attract quality educators.
This seemingly was the key highlight of the district's 2021-22 fiscal year budget approved by the board of education at its June 8 monthly business meeting.
Learning that Missouri lawmakers approved a budget that included full funding of the state's educational foundation formula, a financial analysts report indicating Moberly having a strong A+ bond rating,, and coupling this with Moberly voters supporting the school district in the recent April election, Interim Superintendent Dr. Dustin Fanning told gatherers at the meeting this greatly set the wheels in motion for the district to take a bold step in developing the new operating budget that begins July 1.
