Clare Sanders and Tomas Vaitkevicius denied causing Eva's injuries
A couple from Mitcham have been jailed following the death of their four-week-old baby daughter.
Clare Sanders, 44, and Tomas Vaitkevicius, 45, were convicted of causing or allowing the death of Eva Sanders by repeatedly shaking her, in September 2017.
Baby Eva suffered 27 rib fractures as well as injuries to her head and spine from three separate assaults, jurors heard.
Clare Sanders was jailed for eight years, while Tomas Vaitkevicius, was given nine years.
At the sentencing, Judge Mark Lucraft QC told the pair that drink had played a "major part" in what happened.
