MIT Student Suspected in Killing of Yale Student Faces Judge in New Haven

A Massachusetts man suspected of killing a Yale graduate student in February faced a judge in court in New Haven Thursday after he was arrested in Alabama.
Prosecutors asked for a $50 million bond, citing Pan's time on the run and calling him a serious flight risk. The judge ordered Pan held on $20 million.
Pan was initially wanted for questioning in connection to the death of 26-year-old Kevin Jiang, a Yale graduate student. In late February, New Haven police said they had secured an arrest warrant charging him with murder.
