(TNS) — The Missouri Department of Conservation has joined an international network that tracks the large-scale movements of birds, bats and large insects.

, state ornithologist, said in the last year the department became a part of the Motus Wildlife Tracking System. The system allows researchers across the globe to gather and share information on migrating birds.
