Missouri House OKs plan for private school, home school scholarships

A new program to help send public school children to private school won approval in the Missouri House this week.
The plan from Rep. Phil Cristofanelli, R-St. Peters, would reimburse up to $50 million in private donations per year to nonprofits helping K-12 students pay for private school tuition, homeschooling, tutoring and other education-related expenses.
